Vancouver street festival: 11 people killed in car-ramming attack

Looks like Canada dropped the ball with this nut ....a family member reached out for help

A relative of Lo had contacted a local hospital’s psychiatric ward barely hours before the attack because of his worsening mental health, Vancouver Sun reported.

Police should have been sent to get him after this call to the psychiatric ward

We have that is place nuts declared crazy cant buy a gun

Federal Law. Under 18 U.S.C. § 922(d), it is unlawful for any person to sell or otherwise dispose of any firearm or ammunition to any person knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that such person “has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental institution.”
So the rights are not absolute!

To allow limits on insane people having super killing machines.
Who are you to declare someone is 'insane'?
What do you mean by 'super killing machine'???

The 2nd amendment does not limit any weapon by type, its size, the size of its magazine, how many rounds it can fire per minute, its manufacturer, whether it's a gun, sword, knife, throwing star, rock, club, firework, stun gun, stinging spray can, cannon or other artillery, explosive, or even a nuclear bomb.

There are more guns than citizens in the United States, but only a dozen or so are mass murderers. Stop 'em cold. Shoot back.

There are FAR more good guys with guns than bad guys with guns.

There Are No ‘Absolute’ Rights even free speech is restricted

This is correct.
The Pretender (Jarod) believes the 1st amendment applies to all States and that it somehow guarantees 'free speech'.

It doesn't.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." -- 1st Amendment

It applies only to the federal government (Congress specifically, and thereby the remainder of the federal government.
Congress cannot pass any law that curtails freedom of speech or of the press, or the banning of a religion, or creating a state religion, or preventing people from assembling (so long as they don't become violent), and to protest (again as long as they don't become violent).

States can establish state religions (and have done so in the past!). They can also pass laws banning certain types of speech. They can restrict the press. They can prevent people from assembling (even peacefully!).

Currently all State constitution contain similar wording of the first amendment in their own constitutions, but with limits, allowing State governments far more leeway on determining legal speech, for example.

Thus, while the federal government can do nothing about yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater, the States CAN pass and enforce such laws, fining or even imprisoning you for causing a needless panic and injuries with your speech.

The 2nd amendment, however, DOES apply to all States, though several choose to ignore it (and there own constitutions as well!).

It's so bad in California, that the government there no longer recognizes the Constitution of the United States nor their own State constitution. It has effectively left the Union. It's current form of government is dictatorship. I call it the SDTC now.

Other States have done this, forming oligarchies instead of a dictatorship, but it's just the same...they have effectively left the Union. They should have NO representation in Congress because of what they've done. To rejoin the Union, they must re-establish a republic once again, and apply once again to Congress.

There Are No ‘Absolute’ Rights even free speech is restricted

There ARE absolute rights. No government can take them away, no matter how oppressive. Rights do not come from a piece of paper.

Among them are:

* The right of self defense. That includes the right to defend the innocent, your family, your property, your community, your State or province, or your nation. You have the right to use any and all means at your disposal for this. Even animals have this right.

* The right to your own mind. No one can force you to believe something. No one can force you to not believe something. No one can force your religion (if any), or acceptance or rejection of any evidence. Free speech laws tend to support this.

* The right to life (this is where the right of self defense comes in again!), and to pursue that life to the best of your abilities.

* The right to learn. I don't mean schools. I mean learning by any means.

* The right of privacy. No matter how big Big Brother gets, you still have that right, and can usually easily outmaneuver it. Plus, who's watching the watchers? Even NSA, that monitors every phone call transmitted by radio (most of them), cannot hope to make sense of all of it, or even a small part of it. Even with Little Snitch everywhere (cell phones), you can still obtain that privacy.

* The right of government by your choice. Even a King must be accepted, or he is very quickly no longer king. If you happen to live in a dictatorship, it is literally by your choice that you do so. and the choice of the people to tolerate it.

In other words, people outnumber the Dictator and his protective troops by a wide margin. If the people unify against him, there is NOTHING that dictator can do to stay in power (or possibly even alive!). Think of the donkey in Animal Farm, that finally overthrew the Pig regime.

There are many such rights. I will not list them all here. The 9th and 10th amendments recognize this, clearly acknowledging that the Constitution does not declare rights, or limit rights to those discussed in the Constitution.

These are absolute rights. It doesn't matter if you want to attribute them to a god or gods, or if you believe no god or gods exist at all. These are rights due every human being simply by being human beings.

Another good document not to overlook is the Declaration of Independence, which also lists some of these rights (although in a more terse manner).
