In the 25 years I have been on internet political forums, Republicans always strutted around howling about how they are the genuine defenders of the sacredness of the U.S. Constitution.

The speed with which Republicans abandoned that supposedly steadfast principle leads me to infer they had been bullshitting me for almost three decades
