Do try to stick with the topic under discussion. If you think the Dems drove CEO's to using slave labor in SE Asia you are deluded. It was both right and left. Americans demanded cheap goods and they said "We are OK with whatever profit you need to make, just give us the goods cheap".

If you can't do the simple math on that then you aren't an active part of the economy. Does your mommy and daddy still buy all your shit for you? If not then pay attention.

YOU are as responsible for China as everyone else in the USA is.

It is not that simple. Our owners took their manufacturing to China and 3rd world nations to make a lot more money faster. Our manufacturing base has been shut down and bulldozed. Like Welch said as head of GE, he would love to put his plants on barges and take them wherever he got the best deal. The wealthy do not care about American workers. That is why Trump and Ivanka had their overpriced crap made in China and 3rd world countries. Trump's merch is still made in China with very few exceptions.

Trump's campaign wasn't honest about the extent of what he planned to do, and what the expectations should be for voters. He painted a rosy picture for everyone as of "Day 1" of his admin.

Now, he & his supporters are just telling us that it'll all be fine - with not much to back that up. It's the kind of faith cults have in their leaders, but those who are not indoctrinated need a bit more to go on.

No one ever talked about "possible pain" or "maybe a recession" when Trump was campaigning. He said that the market would tank if Harris got elected - not him.

It's laughable that he talked about the idea of setbacks, or a period of economic pain.

And it's also laughable that we're supposed to hear "calm down" from MAGA's, and come to the conclusion that this is a great plan and all will be amazing. You're offering nothing in the way of factual reassurance. Just that you trust one man, and we all should too for some reason.
