Yup. I have a libtard at work who, yesterday (after getting razzed by a conservative coworker), proudly proclaimed that prices/inflation is increasing right now. Another conservative coworker corrected him, and even mentioned the latest CPI report (which showed a decrease that was "more than expected"). The libtard coworker, and I quote, "didn't want to hear their BS".
In essence, he just KNOWS that "inflation is increasing" because that's what his TV (or some headline of a fake news article) told him would happen due to "evil Trump" and his "evil tariffs", and absolutely nothing is going to change his mind about that. Personally, I (alllllmost) never bother to correct him about any of the stupid shit that he regularly says because the above situation is what always happens, so there's no point in wasting time/effort with him when it comes to politics.
In almost 13 years, I've never once seen him adjust his way of thinking about anything political unless it was immediately after the TV fake news decides to adjust their messaging about something. For example, he never admitted that Biden's mind was gone until TV finally stopped completely denying it. He also wasn't afraid of COVID at all at the very beginning (and actually held a sensible viewpoint about it), until he got sucked into the TV messaging and repeatedly saw the death ticker in the corner of his TV screen, then he very quickly became extremely paranoid about it. It was interesting watching him quickly do a complete 180 on a political issue all because the TV screen told him that his initial correct belief about COVID was mistaken.
And yes, he has the audacity to proudly proclaim his "intellect"/"intelligence", because apparently religiously watching TV fake news (and parroting everything that they say) is considered to be "intelligent". Apparently "intelligence" is religiously OBEYING the mind masters behind the TV's "Two Minutes Hate" sessions.
Edit: Oh, and he's also one of those people who pulled everything out of the stock market due to his TDS.
