It is because they could care less about people at all. That has been evident for decades now. They are all about handing out little cookies and goody packages to groups of people for political purposes ONLY as a way to retain and hold power. They know the country is about a 50/50 R/D split so to Garner an advantage they hand out goodies to select groups,...no matter how crazy it is. In the end its all about THE VOTES.

Minorities......They get the cookie that NOTHING IS YOUR FAULT,...you poor fragile souls are only victims.

Gay people.......they get the Gay marriage cookie

Trans people....they get the crazy cookie....LOL

Border jumpers......They get the welcome mat cookie

Worthless BUMS who refuse to work.......they get the welfare FOR LIFE cookie


On and on and on. THAT is the truth of it. They could actually give a damn about those groups, which SHOULD BE obvious,....they only want their votes,....once they get their votes the could care less if they drop dead the next day.

Wow, are you lost. Our country has been a war between Oligarchs and super capitalists since Clinton. What is missing from the equation is the people. We are being used and obviously you are proud of being used. You hate the Dems because they want the people to have rights and opportunities. You are on board with a subset of Americans having rights. You think claiming you are for the oligarchs will make you one of them. It will not.

You completely miss the idea that the Dems actually care about those people. The fact is we do.
There is no welfare for life. Do you do any homework? That ended when Clinton was in office and you were, I guess, in grade school.

Grade school? Are you goofy? I was in grade school with Nixon, Ford and Carter,....Reagan came in my Freshman year of high school. THAT was the election that made me into a Republican as I took an interest in politics at an early age. When I was a grade school kid I got to give a speech over the loudspeaker to the whole school when Carter was running against Ford. Then we had the kiddie election at school a couple of days later. BTW,...I campaigned for and gave the speech for...............................CARTER. :oops: Of course it was all just a bunch of shit I made up that I thought sounded good....What did I know as a kid,...not much. I still remember how it started though............." Jimmy Carter is a man of honor and great integrity" :) Damn Thats was a long time ago. I was 12 in 76.
 
I LOVED Reagan though! He restored HOPE and hope is the best of things. We had become accustomed to losing. Began during Vietnam,...then we had the oil shortages, The hostages in Iran, the failed rescue mission and all the other crap. Reagan ended all of that. He made us DREAM BIG again. Far and away my favorite President. I like most all of trumps policy,....but if he could be more like Reagan in how he acted and spoke,.....he would be Loved by all,.... but that's not him. Shame really,.........

I voted for Carter. I liked him as a person. Still do. He was a terrible President.

I voted for Ford and a Republican in every election except for Perot in '92....a decision I regret since I liked GHW and wish he'd have beaten Clinton.

Since 2012, I've voted Libertarian. When someone flip-flops from one extreme to the other such as Democrat to Trumper or Reaganite to Obama, I believe they have unresolved issues.

We can agree to disagree on that point. For one thing, I think an old Cold Warrior like GHW would have gotten us through the transition from the Cold War better. Including being more wary about the growing al-Qaeda threat, responding to the 1993 WTC bombing along with other threats.

There's a lot of blame to go around for everything that happened in American politics after the Cold War ended, but I do believe we'd have been better off with GHW still in the WH until 1996.
