On illegal immigration, what Trump is doing IS sane. He wants to arrest and deport those here illegally, particularly those with criminal records.

The last immigration bill would have fixed nothing. It was pretty much just amnesty and making illegals eligible for citizenship with a few sops to border controls. That was tried in the Reagan era, passed, and then failed miserably.
