Carleson did a "Gotcha!" there. Obviously, Carleson looked up some stuff about Iran then asked Cruz about it. Cruz is also correct. It's irrelevant to regime change unless ethnicity or population are factors which in Iran's case, they aren't. What is relevant to regime change is religion since Iran is really a theocracy in which elections are just a sham.
And, no, Israel is not calling on Iran to stop their attacks. To the contrary, Iran is calling on Israel to stop stomping the snot out of them.
Interestingly, most of the Gulf States want nothing to do with Iran and their war with Israel.

Better wording: most of the Gulf States want Israel to be held accountable for their bullying, their wanton assasination sprees with impunity, for their war crimes and Convention violations, and for their Arab genocide. Most Gulf States are happy that Iran is stepping up and opposing Israel. Remember, since 1979, Iran has been the only attacker of Israel. All of Israel's bogus disinformation about how they are such victims of their surrounding Arab victimizers is designed for the consumption of ignorant westerners who simply stand by for marching orders from Israel.
No Arab country has attacked Israel. Israel, on the other hand, doesn't need any excuse to kill any number of Arabs. Israel will bomb civilian populations in any country and, knowing that Team Israel is always standing by ready to applaud, simply declare that they were "targeting military targets" and Team Israel NEVER asks any questions, they simply dig in and prepare themselves to preemptively call any who do ask questions "Jew-HATERS" and "RACIST Nazis."
The bottom line is this: If Israel were to drop a bomb on my neighborhood in the US and kill 57 men, women and children ... AND were to claim that they were "targeting Hamas", people such as you would therefore not ask any questions, you would hear those magic words, you would applaud, cheer and go online to regurgitate "Israel was targeting Hamas" as you celebrate and high-five each other.
