Trump put our military in a bad position.
They looked shabby compared to foreign militaries who train extensively for the pomp and circumstance of high energy and highly disciplined parade formations.
Trump made our military look like a laughing stock. Our guys don't have the training and tradition for those elaborate quasi-fascist parades. The global internet is abuzz with laughter at Trump's parade.
And I don't our soldiers were thrilled about taking their Saturday to perform for the birthday party of a 79 year old man.
Foreign militaries take pride in their elaborate parades, because they are typically tied to a national independence day.

Our military is trained to fight and to win, not to march in vanity parades for a painted old pig. We have a long (250 years even) history of NOT holding military parades. We are supposed to want to be seen as a peaceful nation of law, not a warmongering bully.
Trump just proved once again that he has zero regard for service members or vets. They are just pawns to him.
Agree. Trump is responsible for putting our military in a bad light. They are trained to execute missions, not perform in the pomp and circumstance of precision birthday party parades.

That idiot Stone is on the cusp of "old" himself. I believe he has stated that he's 60 or early 60s. Aside from that silliness, our protest was all ages as well. The only photo I've seen of elders was one my activist friend posted on her FB of theirs. She is now 87 and nearly blind and lives in an assisted living/retirement community with her husband. She made a sign and helped others make signs. The photo showed them lined up outside their apartment building, walkers and wheelchairs and all. God love 'em.
