How is that "move(ing) the goal posts?" Harris, in four years as VP proved only capable of tossing word salads and was completely ineffective, to the point of criminal incompetence, with everything she was handed to do. In the Senate (3 1/2 years) she had the most Leftist voting record of any Senator (98%). She was one of the most Leftist members of Congress as a whole. Harris as a prosecutor showed she'd move whichever way the political winds blew.

I would expect her, if President, to largely ignore Iran and at most hand wring rather than do anything proactive or useful. Instead, she'd be focused on fucking the US with open borders and a radical Leftist agenda.

True that. If he doesn't allow this exit ramp he's either not getting good advice or never wanted them to renegotiate the nuclear deal. He has limited the response to just keeping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, if he sticks to what he's said, this is where it should end.

Iran wants the bombing of their nuke facilities to end so they can get back to picking up the pieces and back to making a nuclear bomb. The US and Israel want that to end but realistically are likely to settle on Iran's ambitions being set back by 10 to 20 years. Iran has to make enough counter moves to show they have at least a few bargaining chips rather than be forced into a one-sided negotiation.
