  • Iran’s statement: Iran said its missile attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar matched the number of bombs dropped by the United States on Iranian nuclear sites this weekend, signaling Iran’s likely desire to de-escalate. It also said it targeted the base because it was outside of populated areas.
 
While Iran said it was "successful", and will likely continue to say so, however it was thwarted at the border and there was no casualties... I would say that this is not an escalation, let them save face, and we should let them have this exit ramp back to negotiations.

They also informed Qatar of the attack.
 
No casualties, missiles intercepted. The attack was not entirely unexpected – satellite images showed the U.S. moved most of its unhangered aircraft out of Al Udeid last week. So basically a broke dick Iran trying to show it can still almost get it up. Of course Phanta applauds anything that would result in the "death of America". Fucking sick cunt.

Three Iranian officials familiar with the plans told The New York Times that Iran gave advance notice to Qatar that attacks were coming.

Qatari authorities had previously grounded all air traffic and the U.S. Embassy in Doha had issued a warning to Americans in the country to shelter in place in anticipation of an Iranian retaliation to U.S. strikes on its nuclear program.
