TACO is mostly about Trumps constant waffling on tarrifs. He made crazy statements about tariffing the world sometimes with astronomical levels. His numbers and the victims of his tariffs changed according to his whims. The heads of Walmart, Target and Home Depot had a sit-down with Trump, explaining his tariffs would result in empty shelves, higher prices and enormous losses of profits. Trump is very stubborn about tariffs. They are what the simple man understands. They are punitive and a way to control.
Congress should take the power back. Trump should not have it.

BTW, most economists are saying the impact of tariffs won't be felt until later this summer. That said, it could be longer as President "Two Weeks" keeps backpedaling.

Not true, price of bananas went up fifteen cents a pound, bought some today. And it was only six months ago you and the Red Hat Club were saying consumers won’t pay for tariffs

The key there is “thus far,” especially considering Trump’s big dateline is July 9th. Importers have been imported more now before the supply chain gets more expensive and drys up. Costs will come later in the summer, which is why Trump is so eager to get his “Big and Beautiful” fiasco passed and is pressuring the Fed to lower rates, so he can tell Americans he got them more in pocket money
