The Big, Beautiful Bombs Were A Bust

The strike did not damage underground facilities.

"A preliminary classified U.S. report says the American bombing of Iran’s nuclear sites sealed off the entrances to two of the facilities but did not collapse their underground buildings, according to officials familiar with the findings.

The early findings conclude that the strikes over the weekend set back Iran’s nuclear program by only a few months, the officials said.

Before the attack, U.S. intelligence agencies had said that if Iran tried to rush to making a bomb, it would take about three months. After the U.S. bombing run and days of attacks by the Israeli Air Force, the report by the Defense Intelligence Agency estimated that the program was delayed less than six months.

Former officials said that any rushed effort by Iran to get a bomb would be to develop a relatively small and crude device. A miniaturized warhead would be far more difficult to produce, and it is not clear how much damage to that more advanced research has taken place..."

I'm not surprised Trump lied his flabby ass off about "obliterating" their nuclear program.

So the facilities were not damaged? Then Iran should happily welcome those ready to go in and investigate...and the uhauls should be winging their way back with their cargo very soon......;)
We just bombed them, unsuccessfully it appears. Why would they let us in to look at how we failed?

Where do we go from here?

If there was no damage let the inspectors in...;) That bomb dropping was spectacular , by the way... They could have avoided
It... they chose not to... I'm going to bey they make better decisions from now on... Having to move is such a pain...
Setting them back two months implies some damage.

So let's wait and see how much damage.. There was more than just the uranium in those facilities...Let me know if you see pictures of the uhauls returning to the scene though....;)
Yes, centrifuges, which the experts say were not disabled.

Like all the JPP MAGAts, Trump hears and sees only what he wants to hear and see. I have no doubt the Pentagon gave him an extensive briefing on the risks and likely outcome of the Iran mission.

Per Trump's personality, he probably kept asking the same or similar question over and over again until he "heard" the answer he wanted to hear.

Something like "Can these bombs take out the facility?"
Answer, "they could do substantial damage including obliterate the power supply and entrances."
Trump hears "obliterate" and orders the mission to be executed.

Crazy Trump just flopped in a spectacular fashion, and here you are whining and crying about that.

It was a successful strike; on time, on target.

The fact the target(s) were not "obliterated" as President Two Weeks hoped is irrelevant. He could have ordered more strikes before claiming victory. It's just more proof that Trump is an idiot in more ways than one: he gave the enemy a lot of notice and then declared victory before the results of the mission were assessed.
