Can anyone make a cogent case for how birthright citizenship is good for America?

A maroon person would be a person of brown and or crimson color. I am neither a black or Indian person. I am a white Catholic
American having Irish/English roots. My hereditary roots are mostly in line with our 2nd greatest modern day president behind Trump
in Ronald Reagan who has English/Irish/Scottish roots.
2. A stupid person; a fool

I propose a compromise. Allow the child to stay and be a citizen, and deport the parents.
Place the child up for adoption.
Or it can go home with the parents.
That, I do not like. :nono:
Much, much fuckery has been done with children that came over our border. :(
There's underground like..harvesting facilities in more than 1 location, I bet.
300K missing still? Hmm? That's a decent sized city.

A person born here is an American no matter where their parents were born. Since they have never set foot in another country, how does arguing they are Mexican make sense? We find them as teens or adults and claim they should be deported to a country they have never been to. Cruelty is the hallmark of Trump's project 2025.

There is also zero harm done. If you guys weren't bullying minorities and gays you'd have absolutely nothing to do!
You clowns scream about breaking up families.
If they are born to an illegal, those kids should be deported with their parents.

We aren't talking about minorities or gays. Get with the program.

I say they have their choice:

The child can stay in the US (as a citizen) with a foster family or in an orphanage under the care of the government. The parents are deported and barred from reentering the US because they are criminals.

or,

The child can be deported with the parents to keep the family together and once the child reaches the age of majority (18), if they wish then can return to the US as a citizen.

That seems fair to me. The parents, being criminals, don't benefit from their crime(s).

So now you're saying I have to pay a ransom for the "privilege" of something i have no say in.
Incredible.
That's three govt. crimes we've identified in this discussion.
1. Ponzi scheme
2. Theft
3. Extortion.

Are there more?
Taxation is not theft. Taxation is not extortion. Social Security is not a Ponzi scheme.

Are you delusional or just an average run of the mill nut case?

Taxation is not theft.
Agreed
Taxation is not extortion.
Correct
Social Security is not a Ponzi scheme.
Yes it is.

What Is a Ponzi Scheme?

Unlike legitimate business ventures that generate revenue through genuine operations, Ponzi schemes rely on a continuous influx of new money to stay afloat.
A Ponzi scheme often conducts no actual business while the orchestrator pockets a cut of the money.

Social security isn't a "business venture" at all, it's a type of insurance. Could it be improved upon? Definitely. But I'd say it's a good idea, even if its implementation leaves room for improvement.

You post a link to what a Ponzi scheme is and then ignore that Social Security doesn't meet most of the six characteristics of a Ponzi scheme.

Neither is a Ponzi scheme .
A Ponzi scheme is a business venture. It is fraudulent but it is a business venture. It has people invest in it with the promise of a return on their investment.
FICA is a tax. It is not an investment.
Forced on me at gunpoint.
Are you delusional or a run of the mill nut case. No one is forcing you at gun point. It is a tax just like any other tax. Only delusional people or nut cases refer to taxes as being forced on them at gunpoint.

It meets three of the FOUR listed.
At least the SSA is honest in not promising high returns. I’ll give them that.
I can count to six. Are you unable to do that?
  • A "guarantee" of high return with no risk
  • The returns are consistent regardless of market conditions
  • Investments are not registered with the SEC.
  • "Secret" or undisclosed investment strategies which are "too complicated" to explain
  • Official documentation is hidden from investors
  • Clients have a difficult time withdrawing their funds

They listed four at the start.

I see that now.
  • A "guarantee" of high return with no risk
They guarantee low returns. They’re honest in regards to that.
  • The returns are consistent regardless of market conditions
Check
  • Investments are not registered with the SEC.

Impossible to withdraw all of what was invested. So check.
You just described how SS is a Ponzi scheme.
Thank you

I would say that describes Social Security pretty accurately with the exception of #1. There is a guaranteed return, but it isn't "high."

Could [social security] be improved upon? Definitely.
Then why isn’t it?

A good question. There's an article from the U.S. Government Accoutability Office published last August that attemped to answer that question. It's here:

Nope. I disagree. Lots of trash came here illegally to have their litters to get American citizenship. I say send them all back.

That's just quibbling over terminology. A Ponzi scheme is one where those that pay in expecting a return on investment instead have their money given to earlier investors as there is no return to be had. To use an idiom, Social Security works on the principle of robbing Peter to pay Paul. That phrase is often used to describe wealth redistribution and socialist welfare programs of which Social Security is one.
Are you delusional or a run of the mill nut case. No one is forcing you at gun point. It is a tax just like any other tax. Only delusional people or nut cases refer to taxes as being forced on them at gunpoint.
All taxes are forced. If you don't pay them, there are consequences and those can be severe. Most people are agreeable to paying a reasonable level of tax, say 10% or so. Few people of any level of wealth or income are agreeable to taxes that see most or nearly all of what they earn or have being taken.

If they weren't allowed to stay as babies it wouldn't be an issue.

Now how about answering the question as to why this is good for America?

You amaze me with your stupidity each time your fingers outrun your brain.
