Why is it bad to rename things…

Like Ft. Benning, named after a man who committed treason.

Or Mt. McKinley, to honor the native name?
It's revisionist, divisive and invites "payback".

The same goes for tearing down statues. Better, IMO, is to put history into context. Better still to recognize that defending one's country, as most Confederate soldiers did during the Civil War, wasn't treason. Their respective states were their "country" the same way Germany and France are countries although they both belong to the EU.

Lord have mercy. Did you have a brain transplant?

Or a receptionist who pretends he is a lawyer?
Or a pedophile who pretends to be a great leader and supporter of the Constitution?

Because the people who you side with 90% of the time, would not like that post. You responded like a conservative in that post......definitely out of character for you.
Maybe it's because you are a Brazilian who doesn't understand what it means to swear an oath to the Constitution?

Intelligent, educated and rational people know that being against a draft-dodging, oath-breaking, adulterous pedophile is not the same as siding with the fucking Democrats. I understand why anti-American Brazilians don't understand this point.

You are twisted in the head. OBiden and the minions who controlled him, facilitated an invasion of our country...my country... the USA.

So should the Germans celebrate the concentration camp guards?

QED on an anti-American foreigner supporting destruction of the American Republic to be replaced by a Brazilian-style dictatorship.

Your country is Brazil, Almost Marco, as proved by where you've chosen to live....even if you were allowed back into the US by the Trump administration. LOL

So should the Germans celebrate the concentration camp guards?
No.

OTOH, notice how the former German death camps like Auschwitz and Buchenwald have been turned into museums. Democrats would demand they be torn down.

If we continue to erase history, how can we learn from George Santayana's wisdom? Better, IMO, to give history context and to learn from it, not destroy it and let it be forgotten.

Not one Trumpper was able to address the point!

I understand!
Why do you believe you are entitled to a response to every thread you start?

Do you think people spend their weekends wondering what inane thread you will littler the board with next?

Unlike you, some people have lives

Now tell us why do you think you are owed a response?

No.

I do not believe they should be torn down, but they should not be celebrated.

There is a difference between erasing history and celebrating bad acts, or people who fought against the USA.

We have the holocaust museum in D.C. and no democrat suggests it should be torn down.

I’m not entitled to a response, but I find the lack of addressing specific topics very telling.

Especially when you are here and happy to distract from the topic!
