Yep, look for the same thing happening on a national level. The Republicans have realized that trump has managed to subvert the rule of law - he'll just pardon anyone who commits treason like he did last time. For those who didn't see this coming - you're idiots!
They have been setting up a legal framework for this for decades. They claim there is no right to vote, and that voting is only meant to keep the powers that be in check, not control the powers that be.
"We the people" was meant to say the power came from the people. In the Republican retelling, the power is in their hands, and they allow the people to have some say.
We shall see how brave the Republican courts are, one way or another, but this might be the end of the Republic.
