Too many people are living in fear.
IMO, we need to bring back the draft; no deferments, men, women, everybody. If they don't want to be in the military, they can dig wells in Africa, clean bedpans on a hospital ship or some other form of service to our nation.

We could use the drafted army to rebuild our infrastructure. It is disgraceful that we are allowing it to collapse.

That would be a good non-military job similar to FDR's CCC. I'm not a fan of just giving people money, but I would support a year of college for every two years served. A four-year draft would equal two years of college. They could go to college online for their four years to earn an AA or AS degree and then finish their four-year degree once out. Same goes for Vo-Tech, although they might learn all that while serving such as HVAC, heavy machinery operation, etc.
