Trump's budget cuts and staff cuts at National Weather Service

How interesting that you are 'suddenly' and enthusiastically committed to fully staffed and well-funded government operations

Coordination with local emergency managers is the issue. You and Trump got rid of many of the experienced staff and senior managers who were responsible for close coordination with local emergency managers.

Three hours isn't sufficient, as we tragically found out.
Meteorologists aren't psychic. They can only send out a warning when the data says they should, not sooner. Whatever triggers the warning happened at 1:14am (or 1:48. I don't remember). If there were 100 meteorologists looking at data, they send out the warning a the same time because the weather data dictates it.
It was the middle of the night, many people were asleep, thousands of people camp out all up and down the Guadalupe river, and there's probably hundreds of residences along the river.
Correct. That's why the warnings didn't have the effect they would have otherwise had.
Texas doesn't seem to have wanted to spend the money on a regional warning system, and three hours wasn't sufficient for first responders to reach thousands of people scattered up and down the river.
The actual flood happened three hours after the warning. First responders can't respond until there's something to respond to.

Well it is obvious these cuts and not letting the military share IMPORTANT info with NOAA and the NWS are going to cause people to get hurt and some killed.
NOT letting people know where a hurricane is going to hit, where it is headed isn't a good idea this IS important info people NEED to know so they can take persuasions and either get out of that area or if they want hunker down and have food water and other necessities.
And why don't you read some of the links I posted about how these cuts may effect FLA and the gulf coast, YOU might actually learn something for a change.
No, they're not...
What does it mean to take persuasions? I read one of the articles...did you actually read any of them?

That's exactly what you're doing... You are making predictions and wishing for tragedy without any real proof...
Best not to engage the morons that you so easily trigger. Literally everything stated by the malcontent left concerning this tragic event has been proven incorrect. Let them rant and go off topic with their bleatings and take joy in the fact that you are destroying their everyday life with your mere presence on this forum.

I HAVE read several of them why don't you?
YOU are the one cheering on these cuts that could do great harm to people that live in these areas, and other Federal programs that HELP the American people just so your orange GOD can give massive tax cuts to the rich and a small tax cut that expires in a couple of years to some other people.
Get you head out of Trumps ass and take a look around at what is going on.

"The Trump administration has cut hundreds of jobs at NWS, with staffing down by at least 20% at nearly half of the 122 NWS field offices nationally and at least a half dozen no longer staffed 24 hours a day.

Hundreds more experienced forecasters and senior managers were encouraged to retire early.

The White House also has proposed slashing its parent agency’s budget by 27% and eliminating federal research centers focused on studying the world’s weather, climate and oceans."

Excellent points and advice...

All happy horseshit. If you have any experience in Government operations or how the staffing works, you would laugh at the bullshit you post. Cutting most government agencies is just a good start. I am not for firing, but early buyouts and attrition are perfect options.

Like the MAGAts covering for Trump on Epstein's list, they'll cover for him on this too.

Are you claiming to be an expert on government operations and staffing, Legina?
