While the term "able-bodied" in the context of Medicaid often refers to working-age adults without dependents, the reality is more nuanced. A significant portion of this group is already working or has other valid reasons for not working, such as caregiving or health issues. Many are also in low-wage jobs where they may not meet the definition of "able-bodied" under proposed work requirements due to fluctuating hours or health issues.
 
There are hundreds of jobs and volunteer experiences that qualify...something for everyone...
 
It doesn't have to pay $$ ...if you've ever volunteered you know how priceless the experience is...

Are you sure? I think whomever replaced him would still have beat both Braindead and Kamala. It's possible that the guard would still be out there helping ICE make Las Angeles better in spite of the Mayor's uncanny ability to do the wrong thing every time.

And it was one inch to the right from the shooter's perspective that would have made that difference. It missed his skull grazing the skin on his right hear.. If it was one more inch to the right from the shooter's perspective... he would have missed entirely and the ear would not have been grazed.

  • "Able-bodied" is a simplification:
    It often refers to adults aged 18-64 who don't have disabilities, dependents, or are not enrolled in school.

  • Many are already working:
    A large percentage of this group is employed, either full-time or part-time, or has other valid reasons for not working, such as caring for family members or experiencing health issues.
