The worst place to live in the U.S.? Tennessee ranks dead last, below Alabama, Arkansas. Here's why

Tennessee is topping the charts, but not in a good way.

The Volunteer State was recently named the worst state for quality of life, according to a CNBC study. While Tennessee has previously been among the worst states, this is the first year since the COVID-19 pandemic that the state has come in dead last.

In 2024, Tennessee ranked as the sixth-worst state for quality of life, accumulating just 96 out of 325 possible points. In 2023, Tennessee came in eighth place for the worst quality of life.

This is according to CNBC who used a single metric based largely on Leftist values to determine it:

Life, Health & Inclusion (350 points – 14%)

With workers in short supply, companies are seeking to locate in states that can attract a broad array of talent. That makes quality of life an economic imperative. We rate the states on livability factors like per capita crime rates, environmental quality, and health care. We look at worker protections. (eg., union laws) We look at inclusiveness in state laws, including protections against discrimination of all kinds, as well as voting rights, including accessible and secure election systems. With studies showing that childcare is one of the main obstacles to employees returning to the workforce, we consider the availability and affordability of qualified facilities. And with surveys showing a sizeable percentage of women considering reproductive rights in deciding where they are willing to live and work, we factor abortion laws into this category as well.

Highlights and commentary added.

Now, many, most people don't rank most of that dreck high on their list of "quality of life." Crime is an issue, but more reasonably it's things like affordable, quality, housing, access to dining and entertainment, lack of urban congestion, and things like that. People, except maybe on the Left, don't choose their place to live on the basis of voting rights or abortion. Inclusiveness is a Leftist value where everyone else simply accepts people where they live on the basis of their personality and lifestyle rather than on what's between their legs, their sexual proclivity, or the color of their skin.

So, if you're a Leftist, this is a good study. For anyone else, it's mostly just bullshit.

In the article cited, they put Texas at the top of their list as the worst state to live in even as tens of thousands of people from Leftist blue states flee there every year.

Their 10 best are all uber liberal deep blue states.

I'm certain that volsrock and Earl have something to do with it.

While Grand Ole' Opry isn't quite up to the Boston Symphony Orchestra,
I suspect Tennessee could do OK
absent its massive overabundance of assholes.

So according to MSNBC the crime ridden democrat cities in Tennessee along with the queers not getting special rights makes it a bad place to live.

Fucking joke.

Maybe it's because the "crime ridden democrat cities" aren't quite as horrific as you Fox News watchers have been lead to believe.

That's exactly right.
It can't be all blamed on black people. Texas, Oklahoma, and Indiana made the list of the ten worst states. And their racial demographics aren't substantially different from New Jersey or Massachusetts, both of which made the top ten best list.

I would say the worst places to live in America would be places like San Diego, Los Angeles, San Fransicko, Chicago,
Minneapolis, D.C., N.Y.C., Baltimore, and Boston. Let biden's criminal aliens run roughshod over all those radically run
leftist socialist/communist hellholes.

TAG, you don't like the nations prestigious urban cultural centers because you're a fucking rube.
Accept it.
It's hardly your fault that your parents weren't breeding material.
It's not your fault that your upbringing was inadequate for livestock.
You're stuck with being you,
and no intelligent person expects you to be more than you are.

Fortunately for you,
you have the imagination to think that you're relevant.
Be grateful for that.

San Diego? Really? I lived in SD County for a decade and it was pretty pleasant. SD itself was fine. I've been to much worse cities.

leftist socialist/communist hellholes.

Boston is nice. Probably the worst thing about it is the racism. But I assume that for most MAGA voters that is one of the few good things about the city to them.

I have to say it.
You are one stupid motherfucker, Libby.
How can you look in the mirror and still be against abortion?

"Prestigeous?" Hardly. Big they might be, but "prestigious?" No. I tend to agree with Lib here.

LA is a shit place to live. Traffic is impossible, public transit is a joke. There are parts of metro LA I'd have to leave someone guarding my vehicle to keep it from being trashed or stolen. The cost of living is impossible.

San Fran? It's turned into a total shithole for real. They publish a 'poop map' for Christ's sake! Cost of living there is insane, there's no parking, crime is rampant, and much of the city is being abandoned by business.

Chicago? The streets there suck bigtime. Another difficult to get around city that looks like it's decaying into ruin. Taxes are out of sight and the cost of living is impossible there too. Then there's the weather... That sucks.

Minneapolis? Another decaying city of benign neglect run by retards.

Baltimore? It has one of the highest murder and crime rates in the entire US. Cost of living and taxes are insane. Driving is impossible

Boston? High cost of living and taxes and probably one of the worst road networks in the nation. I absolutely hate driving in Massachusetts and Boston is the worst of that.

Austin used to be great then it got woke, turned Left, and now it too sucks.

NYC? Another high cost, shitty place to live.

They're laughing at you.

You'd rather navigate around piles of cowshit and pigshit, TAG.

You have no use for the great restaurants.
You don't care about the symphony orchestras, art museums, or theaters.
Everybody doesn't care about major league sports.
Great universities and hospitals don't impress everybody.
You SURE AS HELL don't need the libraries. :ROFLMAO:

You can't be anything else but you, right?

Art Museums are for the most part useless. As is most of the other shit on your love list.
