These people were searching for ways to throw the federal book at parents who showed up at school board meetings and Paige to his credit told them no they could not violate the 1st amendment. Surely you remember reading that?

There was no searching to throw the federal book at anyone. The manpower being ramped up had nothing to do with charging people. The subject line is -

They were crafting a response to the NSBA that had complained to them. The decision was quickly made that the NSBA complaints didn't rise to federal crimes. How does not seeing federal crimes in the complaint suddenly become they saw federal crimes in the complaint?


It seems you don't even understand what they are saying or who they are responding to. They assigned several people to a task force to respond to the complaints. Fitzgerald is saying the taskforce doesn't need to exist because there is nothing to respond to.
