Donald Trump has not been criminally convicted of rape. In May 2023, a CIVIL jury - not a criminal court - a CIVIL jury that does not abide by the rules of evidence found Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation in the case brought by E. Jean Carroll, awarding her $5 million in damages. The jury did NOT find him liable for rape under New York’s legal definition.

The key reasons Trump is not a convicted rapist are:

  1. Civil vs. Criminal Case: The Carroll case was a civil lawsuit, not a criminal one. Civil cases determine liability based on a “preponderance of evidence” (more likely than not), not guilt “beyond a reasonable doubt” as required in criminal cases. Do you understand how civil courts work and what they are? If you were not suffering from TDS, and if you were not a complete idiot, you would understand that civil courts are misused and abused by assholes who want to pin a crime on somebody but they don't have the necessary evidence to bring to a proper criminal court. So they use a civil court where the bar is low, and they get around the law.

NEW YORK (AP) — ABC News has agreed to pay $15 million toward Donald Trump’s presidential library to settle a defamation lawsuit over anchor George Stephanopoulos’ inaccurate on-air assertion that the president-elect had been found civilly liable for raping writer E. Jean Carroll.

As part of the settlement made public Saturday, ABC News posted an editor’s note to its website expressing regret over Stephanopoulos’ statements during a March 10 segment on his “This Week” program. The network will also pay $1 million in legal fees to the law firm of Trump’s attorney, Alejandro Brito.

The settlement agreement describes ABC’s presidential library payment as a “charitable contribution,” with the money earmarked for a non-profit organization that is being established in connection with the yet-to-be built library.

“We are pleased that the parties have reached an agreement to dismiss the lawsuit on the terms in the court filing,” ABC News spokesperson Jeannie Kedas said.
