The techies designing the AI algorithms are more liberal than the average American, so their bias works its way through the system.
“Garbage in, garbage out” is an old saying in computer programming. Meaning, computers are dumb. They process what we give them.

More need not be stated. But there is a far larger problem with the built in biased garbage AI is fed, and that is patent and copyright infringement.

A new study from Axios reveals that ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude — three of the most popular AI bots — use Wikipedia extensively for training their Large Language Models.

Yet “Wokepedia,” the user-maintained online encyclopedia, is so slanted to the left, it’s in danger of tipping over.

The result is the public gets a perversely skewed view of the world.

Indeed, Wikipedia actually keeps a blacklist of sources editors can’t cite.

Consider what happened when researchers at Palisade tested OpenAI’s latest model. In controlled tests, they gave it a shutdown script—a kill switch for safety.

In 79 out of 100 trials, the AI rewrote its own code to disable the shutdown.

No one taught it to value self-preservation; that emerged spontaneously, from training.

If this isn't a GIANT warning red light, you lack a brain and common sense.

All the AI models today are created using an evolutionary process. Basically put, there are minor alterations, and only the minor alteration that answers the questions best are not killed. This creates AI models that are willing to say anything to survive, and he hallucinations we hear so much about.

Picture someone pointed a gun at your head, and ordered you to give legal citations or die. Even if you had no legal citations, you would try your best to come up with legal citations.

The real question becomes what are the "right answers" according to the testers. From Grok going full Nazi on us, we can surmise what Musk's "right answers" are.

As crazy as it sounds, I am trying to move from fintech to AI, even though I think it might destroy the world. Crazy world right?

There is a basic bug in the way we are developing AI, which we cannot prevent because we have to be first to AGI. Hopefully we will avoid the problem, but there is definitely a real chance we will not.

How many people did Hitler kill? One answer is 50 million. Another answer is maybe one or two, but quite possibly no one. It is hard to say whether he killed anyone in WWI, but if he did it, it was not that many. After that, he personally killed no one. He spoke to people and convinced them to kill 50 million.. Or 40 million... Or 60 million. The exact number is unknowable, but it is in the tens of millions.

AI looks like it will be far more intelligent than us, and have none of the moral bounds we do, so might be able to convince us to destroy ourselves(or each other). This is a very dangerous stage in history.
