There is clearly a serious problem at the BLS, long before now

When the report is inaccurate the report is botched. If your doc came and said the biopsy report shows you have cancer in your right lung and we need to remove it. If later he said the pathology report showed no cancer in the lung we just removed.

One is a botched report and the other correct based on more findings
No, Slowlane the report is not inaccurate - the report is bad for trump, so you do what you always do, kill the messenger bringing bad news.

Wrong; they were ding huge revisions then.
Wrong. Only a month ago you cited the BLS data as your preferred authority, in an attempt to downplay the 33,000 jobs reported by the ADP. The ADP is a different survey from a non-governmental entity and it measures different labor statistics.

Wrong. I cited BLS numbers , after they fixed ANOTHER FUCKUP, CLAIMING " 33,000 JOBS" , WHEN IT WAS 147,00.

They OVERESTIMATED jobs under Biden by nearly 1,000,000 (over 800,000,000) just last year.

Read the OP provided data, and stop trumpeting your ignorance.

Wrong again. BLS didn't claim it was 33,000

That was ADP. They are a private company, and measure different labor parameters than BLS.

The bottom line is as recently as a few weeks ago you thought BLS was authoritative. And you only changed your tune when your tangerine sex offender ordered you to.

I have never expressed any opinion regarding the competence of the BLS; they have clearly been fucked up for awhile.

Last year, BLS revised down the benchmark payroll growth for the year ending in March 2024 by 818,000 jobs — the second-largest benchmark revision on record.

Get a fucking clue.

Fixing it now.

You created a thread citing them as an authority.

You didn't have any problem with BLS until your tangerine sex offender ordered you to get on your knees and obey his commands.

The available jobs are due partly to 3.1 million quits. Many companies say they are waiting for some economic stability before they hire. You do not know what reality is. You are a Trumpy. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jobs-report-labor-market-unemployment-manufacturing-economy-trump/
Fuckoff. You haven't a clue what you are blathering about.

More bullshit from the left's "experts", who are wrong about everything . Fuck CBS.

The number of job openings was little changed at 7.4 million in June, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
reported today. Over the month, both hires and total separations were little changed at 5.2 million and
5.1 million, respectively. Within separations, quits (3.1 million) were little changed while layoffs and
discharges (1.6 million) were unchanged.

This release includes estimates of the number and rate of job openings, hires, and separations for the
total nonfarm sector, by industry, and by establishment size class. Job openings include all positions that
are open on the last business day of the month. Hires and separations include all changes to the payroll
during the entire month.

Hopefully the BLS has this number right.

Let's hope William Wiatrowski does a better, more accurate job than his predecessor, Erika McEntarfer...a Biden appointee.

The numbers do mean something. They are an attempt to tell us what the employment is.
You seem confused as to why the numbers are not as accurate as you want them to be.
What the numbers actually reflect is how many people are working. That number is about 168,000,000. The number of people working is then compared to the previous months number of people working. The difference between those two numbers is the number of jobs added or lost.

If one month the numbers say there were 168,000,000 people working and the next month the numbers say there are 168,250,000 people working that shows a 250,000 increase in jobs month to month. But if you can do the math, you will realize that 250,000 is 0.15% of the total people working. If the next month, the number is revised to only 125,000 jobs added then it means that the original numbers were only 99.95% accurate instead of being 99.999% accurate.

When you develop an IEP for 100,000,000 students do you refuse to do any IEP if you only have the data for 99,950,000 students? Do you tell your boss, you refuse to do it until you get all the information even though you will be 99.95% accurate without that information?
If you have 99.9% of the data you need for one student, do you refuse to do the IEP until you get that last 0.1% of the questions answered?

Feel free to tell us how you propose you would get 99.999% of the jobs data every month. I'm sure BLS would be happy to do it if you can provide such a way.
I don't do a report if you're missing information that is absolutely necessary to do it properly...that's what my job is...
It's doesn't get done until it can be done properly...
When a job can't be done properly, something needs to change...

When a job can be done much much better, as we know because it was once, but for ages now has not been....

This is your sign.

So if you only have 99.5% of your questions answered then you refuse to do the work? If someone is supposed to meet you and they show up five minutes late you refuse to do the work until they show up on time for a meeting? If you only have 99.5% of the information and the person is supposed to have a plan in place next week, you refuse to do the work? I doubt that is the case or you would have been fired a long time ago.

The problem with your argument is that you are completely ignoring how people and the real world work. Counting jobs will never and can never be complete. When counting people that work in a week, how do you count someone that is fired on Monday afternoon? How do you count someone that started a job on Saturday afternoon? Since you are so f-ing sure you know how to do the job of counting, why don't you tell us how you would do it with no missing information and no need for revisions. Keep in mind, you need to do the work in a timely fashion. Oh wait. You are a complete moron, so you have no clue how to do the job you claim someone else doesn't know how to do.
