Trump’s mental decline is undeniable — so what now?​

Confabulation isn’t misremembering a date or forgetting something. The mistakes of memory we are all subject to become confabulation when people remember false information in vivid detail — detail so vivid and complete that people who don’t know otherwise often believe what they are hearing is true.

In older people, confabulation is one of the clearest early signs of dementia. The day you witness someone confabulate is often the day you are forced to admit to yourself that a beloved parent needs help, and that all the little slips and oddities you’ve been seeing can no longer be rationalized away.

For Trump, the day we could no longer pretend everything is fine came on July 15, when he told a lengthy story about his uncle, John Trump, who he claimed taught at MIT and held three degrees in “nuclear, chemical, and math.” His uncle, according to Trump, once told him how he had taught Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber, and how very smart Kaczynski was.
 
Trump has no intellectual curiosity. He knows nothing of science or history. He is inventive in his golf cheating, though. You cannot ask Trump follow-ups. That is why he runs off on childish tirades and insults when a question demands anything of him. Trump is a stupid fuck who should embarrass every American.

All good observations. I doubt he invented his cheating. A dummy like him would simply have copied other cheaters.

He makes his caddies complicit in his cheating. That is new. Golf reveals your character telling us who you are. Tht is why businessmen play golf with other businessmen. You see what they are before you commit to working with them.
Trump has a very fast cart and tees off first. Then he blasts down to his ball and changes the lie or drives over the golfing partner's ball.

It will probably be that we just wait it out until midterms. The Republicans won't do anything but grovel more. Just look on the bright side. The longer this goes on, the more likely there will be a rebound effect, kicking the groveling Republicans to the curb.

The grumbling noises from the Right are getting louder. I'm not so sure Big Daddy will last through the Midterms. A lot depends upon how far Big Daddy will keep going. I think he will.

The more pressure both the Left and the Right apply to him over the Epstein Files, the more likely he'll crack.

Also, the quicker President Vance takes over, the better the chances the Republicans can salvage November 2026.

Oh, yeah. People say trump's an "outsider", i.e., "not a politician" but, boy howdy that guy is only second to Kellyanne in deflecting direct questions and attacking the questioner.

The Republicans seem to have settled on start talking and do not stop until the time is exhausted. Kellyanne was ultra annoying, and her plan was so obvious. Just keep prattling and they will get nothing out of you.

But yes - she's nothing but a soulless, ugly troll who will never respond directly to any critisism of trump,
