DOJ bombshell: Ghislaine Maxwell says Trump wasn't involved in Epstein drama — here’s what she said
Synopsis
Ghislaine Maxwell testified she never witnessed Donald Trump engaging in any wrongdoing connected to Jeffrey Epstein. The Trump administration is considering releasing grand jury transcripts from the Epstein and Maxwell cases, a move opposed by Maxwell. While some victims support the release for transparency, others criticize the government's handling of the Epstein files, feeling exploited for political purposes.
Ghislaine Maxwell said she never saw U.S. President Donald Trump did anything wrong related to Jeffrey Epstein. She gave this information during long meetings with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in July. The meetings lasted two days and happened at a courthouse in Florida. ABC News reported that the Trump administration is thinking about releasing the transcript of what Maxwell said.
CNN was the first to report that the meetings were recorded and are now being made digital. The White House has been trying to deal with public anger over the “Epstein Files” for the past few weeks. A Justice Department memo recently said there were no more big discoveries left in the Epstein case.
Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for helping Epstein abuse underage girls. Her lawyers are trying to take her case to the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn her conviction. Maxwell’s lawyer, David Oskar Markus, said she was asked about nearly 100 different people in the meetings. He also said she answered everything honestly, didn’t skip anything, and never refused to answer a question, as stated by the Independent report.
