Trump suffers another geography fail after calling Alaska ‘Russia’ as he rants ahead of Putin meeting: ‘Leningrad free’

Two days after he twice said he was 'going to Russia' for his Alaska summit with Vladimir Putin, President Donald Trump used a Soviet-era name to describe Russia’s second-largest city as he attacked a former adviser on social media.

Writing on Truth Social to complain about “very unfair media” coverage of his upcoming summit with the Russian president, he said the press would even go so far to say he’d made a “bad deal” even if he reached an agreement for the United States to acquire “Moscow and Leningrad” without giving up anything in return.

The president appeared to be unaware of one small detail: The city he called “Leningrad” is actually called St. Petersburg and has been since city residents voted to ditch the Soviet-era name in June 1991.

It was the second embarrassing geographic mix-up in three days for Trump, who on Monday also appeared to forget that the site of his sit-down with Putin (a former deputy mayor of St. Petersburg) is happening on sovereign American territory in the state of Alaska.

It was just a dig at Putin to let him know how unimportant Russia is.

Joe does not look or sound well, but that's to be expected...I see nothing about the dogs... I hope they're enjoying a family with someone who understands them...
Or they have becaome police dogs so they can bite bad guys.

I would never want them. I don't want a dog for protection I have a Glock for that.

German Shepards, like Pit Bulls, Rottweilers and the like can turn on you at the blink of an eye.
I would never want any of them for a pet, or protection. Colt and Smith & Wesson protect me.
Wow, Everything you wrote about German Shepherds is wrong. They are simply the best, the smartest, easiest to train, patient with children, faithful dogs I have ever known. They do not "turn on you". (Nor do Pit Bulls, BTW, but that's a different road). I won't give an opinion on Rottweilers as I have never owned one, though I have never met anyone that had one that "turned on" their owners.

Well some dogs like some people are just crazy. But in general bad dogs are just poorly trained dogs. I'm not crazy about large dogs in general because if they do attack someone they can cause great harm.

Shepards are working dogs...They're wonderful if you understand what their needs are...The same as any dog.... (the Bidens should have known better...wrong environment...I posted a video from an expert explaining that earlier...)

Two of our dogs are 170 and 155...a mix of St. Bernard, Newfoundland, Standard Poodle and Blue heeler...
If you hear them behind the fence of the door you're not coming in...lol
It is most often the owner if there is a problem...unless there are medical or genetic problems from overbreeding, etc...
But each dog is unique, and should be treated individually...people too often don't understand that...or that a pet is a lifetime commitment...
Thus, one of the reasons the rescue situation is out of control...

Some years ago, one of my friends got a Black German Shepard puppy. He sent it to obedience school for proper training.
A few years later, the dog attacked his young son and he had to get rid of it.
My uncle (a farmer) also had a Shepard, it would run up to you and lick your hands, but the moment you turned your back, it bit you in the ass or the back of your legs. He did what most farmers do with "bad" animals.
Pit Bulls mostly attack other dogs more often than humans, but they can, and do attack humans.
