I doubt Vance will be the GOP nominee; we can only hope he is. Democrats have a number of attractive potential candidates, including among the governors, e.g., from Maryland, Illinois, Connecticut, Kentucky. Not California if I were picking.

Vance will absolutely be the nominee in 2028 - and the left, because let's face it the filthy democrat party will be gone by then; but the left has NO ONE who stands a prayer against Vance. The communists might run AOC - remnants of the swamp might run Newsom, neither will break 10%

I doubt it. It will just become the party of the Left and radical Left. The startup "No Labels" party--likely under another name--is likely in some form to take its place as the Centrist to just Left of Center party with the Republicans being Right of Center. That reduces the Democrats to just another fringe third party like the Libertarians.

I suggest you go ask Mr. Owl (seen below) about this, because you can't list for me say, three viable candidates that the Democrats could put forward as choices for president in 2028 right now.

The name "democrat" at this point, is almost as toxic as the name "Nazi." The left will abandon it as a survival mechanism.

He left office, past performance is the best predictor of future behavior. In this case we know that after he's taken every avenue, and there is no path to victory, he will leave. We also know that the man knows he only gets two terms.

I strongly disagree. He's building a nazi ballroom. He's turned the white house into a gold-plated house of horror. He only left in '21 because his coup failed. He sat and watched it for over 3 hours hoping it would succeed. This time, it will - especially if he controls the military.

I'm sure people in Belarus and Turkey thought they'd never slide into authoritarianism either.

Part of what's causing the uptick in the trump cult's anxiety level is they realize they've gone too far - that's why they ran away early on their summer break like little scared bitches, afraid to face their constituents.
