MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Ken Martin is in the fight of his life.

The low-profile political operative from Minnesota, just six months on the job as chairman of the Democratic National Committee, is charged with leading his party’s formal resistance to President Donald Trump and fixing the Democratic brand.

“I think the greatest divide right now in our party, frankly, is not ideological,” Martin told The Associated Press. “The greatest divide is those people who are standing up and fighting and those who are sitting on the sidelines.”

There is no fix for the current D party. They are all out of time. The current party will be totally destroyed by MAGA over the next 2 to 3 years. Only then can it be rebuilt into something that can serve the peoples best interests. They will revert back to the kind of Democrat party that a JFK was the leader of. A much more main stream middle of the road party where logic, reason and common sense aren't thrown out the window in favor of extreme leftism. In my lifetime the D party has gone from " ask not what your country can do for you but what YOU can do for your country" to its current motto of..........GIMME DAT!! That's all over now. Its time to come back to the fold and be real. Do THAT,...and the D party will do just fine. They can again be a strong party that works with their Republican counterparts that can offer diverse ideas that tackle our nations problems together. But if you don't do that you will continue to grow weaker by the year. We need at least TWO strong parties to survive. Do the right thing..... :thinking:

And the majority of Governorships and state Legislatures. They seem unwilling to learn. Is it going to take them pounding their own party so far down the shitter that a Democrat cant even get elected as town dog catcher? Sometimes I think so.....
 
The Democrat party has traditionally in modern times been a Big Tent party,....but where they REALLY fucked up is they seem to always want to plaster the fringe/extreme elements of their party FRONT AND CENTER at all times. How absolutely in "plain English " FUCKING STUPID CAN YOU BE?!

I only used trans as an example. There are MANY others. I'm telling you that is how your party is viewed now. You can either believe it or not believe it,....up to you. But that fact is your party in fact IS collapsing,....every number available supports this. If you want to bury your head in the sand that's up to you. Doesn't hurt my party AT ALL.
