Milwaukee and Chicago have always had "some crime problems". Pretending that crime in America is something new is our major current absurdity from Trump's government. It is being used to foist the beginning of a police state on the country.

The other day Trumpers were crowing that Washington had a "murder free week". In that regard Washington was made to resemble Beijing
which also has murder free weeks. The price of seriously reducing crime in cities is martial law and dictatorship. We are either a free society with the problems that entails or we are a totalitarian society with the problems that entails. It's a choice.

Our great president has effected a huge reduction in crime in D.C., Chicago is next.

Newscum has finally realized that he and his party are losing the crime issue…big time. A day late and a dollar short.

It appears that he is finally emulating our great president.

Of course the crime rate would be considerably lower had he not invited millions of illegals into California and taken the crime crisis seriously.

If you want to play the game then I'll play. Trump went soft on the 1/6 violent criminals and pardoned them. He's a felon and his supporters don't care.

They support no cash bail, defunding the police, open borders, and sanctuary cities.

They assault and dox ICE agents.

I’ll admit he shouldn’t have done that but it was a one time act.
Dems have consistently throughout the decades been soft on violent criminals.
Trump getting tougher on them has Dems’ panties in a twist and going nuts. Why?
The answer is obvious.
You’re not just soft on violent crime, it’s part of your core identity and ideology.
Dems are clearly in alliance with violent criminals.

No, I'm certain that he refers to the subject of the thread as much as it would to Trump... "doing as Trump does" also indicates that "he" is not Trump as Trump doesn't do "as" Trump Does, he does what Trump does.

Trump is a once in a generation politician like Reagan. I saw politicians, all republicans, trying to copy Reagan for years without success.
Bobby Jindahl comes to mind.
Gavin, being a dem, is unique but what works for Trump so far hasn’t worked for anyone else.
I think it’s an act of desperation, sort of a Hail Mary for Gavin to use trump’s playbook.
I realized personally one is swimming upstream trying to be something he’s not. It’s a waste of time.
