Cons.... what would you have had President Obama do differently...

"There's not really been any missteps"

Thanks. That's all we needed to know.

And man, did I call the "wildly spinning" part.

Why did you misquote me? You don't think people can read your lies?

There's not been any steps! There has to be steps before there can be a misstep! So far, there has been a speech promising to hold BP fully accountable, there has been another speech by the Attorney General promising certain prosecution of BP, another speech from the EPA guy promising to keep their boot on the neck of BP, followed by an interview yesterday where Obama is going to kick some asses at BP... so what "steps" are you thinking could have been missed? There haven't been any steps, only speeches and interviews, and words...

Meanwhile, it is BP (not the government) who has capped the well, but whether or not they can completely stop the leak will depend on how much ass kicking with boots on the neck they receive from Obama, I would imagine. The governors of the states have managed to build some sand berms to stop the oil, but only after having to fight the EPA who wasn't going to allow it at first, because they hadn't done an ecological impact study of the berms...

this is the only way onceler can "debate"....he has to lie about what the other person said

\

Because although they are drilling in international waters, they still are drilling in the global equivalent of our backyard.
That's rubbish and you know it, they are ruled by the regulations set by the US government because they lease and gain permission to drill there from that same agency.

Now stop being an ineffective apologist and start using that brain of yours for something other than inane excuses that don't hold up even to minute scrutiny. If what you said were even slightly true there's be zillions of drills off of every coast.

Lol that's not international waters. BP will be patting the US gov royalties on the revenue from this spill.

i knew it...twice today you make unfounded claims and when asked to back them up....you run like a coward becuase you know you're lying

thanks :clink:

when ever you have what you think is proof, you are quick to post it and run around the board telling everyone of your precious gotcha moment....twice today you've been called out for lies and still cannot provide a single link to support your claims

we all know why bush bothered you onceler...because he has an R after his name...

Nah - you got that one wrong. Bush bothered me because -without his last name - he wouldn't have been elected town supervisor in Crawford. He bothered me because he was woefully incompetent, in over his head from day 1, and royally messed a lot of things up.

Keep tryin' though, Yurtsie! I know you love the guy...

I didn't misquote you. You said no steps, so clearly, no missteps.

The challenge still stands; I can give you a pretty detailed list of everything Bush & his admin did wrong. Can you give me anything from Obama?

Yet he got re-elected at a higher percentage for his second term. Apparently most of America disagrees with your "open minded" assessment.

Wartime President, against a weak opponent.

Bush also finished w/ a consistent approval rating in 20's. Americans are smarter than you think.

This sounds almost exactly like what I think of Obama.

Without Bush's last name he wouldn't have been elected, he (like Bush) didn't hold any job long enough for people to be able to know he was inept, he has been in over his head since day 1, and is royally messing things up.

It will be interesting to revisit this in 2012, or 2016, to see how close Obama's Presidency parallels Bush's.

Your characterization, not surprisingly, is fairly hyper-partisan just a year and a half into his term. At least history is on the side of my assessment of Bush.

And if BP TRULY cared they would already have those arms deployed in the Gulf and no one would be any the wiser...but they don't...why is that?

again..... and do pay attention this time... THEY CAN'T. If they were to deliberately violate the EPA, they would be subject to more fines and penalties. You are kidding yourself if you think they could bring in these arms without anyone else noticing. Again... this is a pathetic attempt to spin on your part.

Not surprisingly, you ignore the post about how Obama's slow response parallels the Bush/Katrina crisis. I wonder why?

As for stating Obama is in over his head, that is hardly hyperpartisan. Or is it that you are so slow to recognize the fact that he is in over his head that you want to pretend no one can see how bad he is.

Take a look once in a while at the articles written on him. It is not just the right that thinks he is in over his head and that his response to the catastrophe in the Gulf has been sad at best.

this is why no one takes you seriously....you've been given numerous examples in this very thread and yet you run around claiming no one has given any list or examples

yes, yes indeed you are a waste of time

Which post did I ignore? I responded to you before.

Freak, the only reason this is getting any kind of Katrina comparison is because it's in the Gulf. If this was off California, you wouldn't hear a thing about it.

I'm surprised to hear you join the chorus of Beck disciples on this "logic"...

Then you sure do waste a lot of your time searching for faux gotchas on me, Yurtsie. What irony the above statement is...

i came to the realization lately...and you're right...responding to you is a waste of time and is ironic that i do so...i understand you're tired of getting proven wrong and shown your hypocrisy and dishonesty....

anyone so obsessive with calling me yurtsie has serious sexual issues

:gives:
