Oklahoma Bible mandate challenged in Court

I wasn’t a believer myself even as a kid but I remember feeling a kind of wonder at the inspiration that had empowered this amazing writing

Me too. I still have the Lutheran Bible my parents gave me when I turned 11. I also have my uncle's JKV Bible inscribed to him by his Sunday School teacher in 1929.

The Bible has not only beautiful poetry, but wisdom as well. I can follow the wisdom and teachings without being a Christian or a Jew.

Agreed 100%. Humanity would be best served by learning from all ancient wisdom. Those who push a "holier than thou" attitude, be it ISIS or the MAGAts, are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

There is no 'Lutheran Bible', idiot. They usually use the NKJV and KJV, but some also use the ESV and others the NASB.

The KJV is one of the great classics of English literature. The development of the English language between Chaucer's time and Shakespeare's is expressed in it, for one. It should be studied for its historical significance alone.
