Chicago -(especially the South-Side and West-Side, both of which are inhabited by Ghetto Blacks) has one of the most appalling rates of violent crime in any American city. By violent crime, I mean: assault, robbery and, in particular, homicide. It is a very dangerous place to live. The same applies to Memphis, where I hear Trump is planning to deploy the National Guard to clampdown on violent individuals and gangs and restore a modicum of civil order.
If people in cities like Chicago and Memphis are living in fear for their lives because gun crime is through the roof, I don't see any problem with Trump taking action to stop it
As for "political violence" a very good example of this was the mass-rioting of BLM thugs across the US in the summer of 2020. That little stunt was sponsored and encouraged by the Democrat Party, including one, Kamala Harris, who was caught on video, shouting encouragement to rioters as they ran past where she was standing and a sidewalk in the centre of Portland. The BLM riots caused $2 billion in property damage, injured well over 3,000 police officers and resulted in the deaths of 35 people.
Trump is Trump, he tends to speak his mind quite bluntly at time. The iconic quote from the character, Colonel Kilgore, in the film "Apocalypse Now": "I love the smell of deportations in the morning..." is understandable, the sense that Trump is, indeed, engaged in a war. Finding, detaining and deporting the illegal aliens in the US is very much an intense battle, and Trump is - (like Kilgore) - the officer in command.
The overwhelming majority of White (European) American are of Trump's deportation policy. But, of course, these people do not have a voice on any major media platform.
The only reason I think that Trump should probably not have use Colonel Kilgore's , now famous quote, is that in the film, "AN", Kilgore was often portrayed in a psychopathic - type way, in the sense that he appeared to love war for it's own sake. Trump is not like that at all. So I think that his remark was unfortunate, but Trump is Trump, he is a larger-than-life character, and like everyone he slips up now and them.

1) there was not enough firepower to gun them all down.
2) She is the only one who broke into the perimeter protecting the VP who the crowd was threatening.
3) They did not have to, the one shot stopped them cold.
