* The Baltimore Maryland police officer who shot an unarmed marine to death outside a nightclub because he allegedly touched his girlfriend’s butt as a joke is now the subject of a manhunt after a warrant was issued for his arrest on 1st degree murder charges and he apparently refused to turn himself in.this killer was on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. any civilian would have been still sitting in a cell.
* A Memphis Tennessee police officer was found guilty of 2nd degree murder for shooting his mistress to death after she told him that she was pregnant and intended to tell his wife if he wouldn’t pay to support her.
* Five New Orleans Louisiana police officers have been indicted for their alleged roles in the shooting death of a man in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, the assault on the people who tried to help the man and report the shooting, and the attempted cover up of the shooting incident by burning the body inside a car.but the only person arrested so far is the one who fired the shot, not the other officers who were accomplices to the murder and coverup.
* A Boise Idaho police officer received a plea deal that reduced charges against him down to a single count of sexual battery of a minor after he confessed to molesting at least 4 babies ranging in age from 4 – 21 months old. He’s also suspected of molesting even more children during his time as a school resource officer but prosecutors say most of those cases are beyond that state’s statute of limitations. The officer was allowed to retire before he confessed at the urging of a fellow cop that he had confided in about it.allowed to retire? nice career of molesting children and get a pension out of it.
* Two Patterson New Jersey police officers are under investigation after they were videotaped by a bystander repeatedly spraying pepperspray directly into the mouth of a handcuffed suspect during a supposed drug arrest.we have verifiable video evidence that they committed felony assault and battery on a handcuffed prisoner and they are only under investigation?
* Three Baltimore Maryland police officers were convicted for roles in the beating of a cuffed, shackled, and already peppersprayed teen with a baton and the subsequent cover-up of that beating.
* A Bibb County Georgia deputy was sentenced to 20 years in prison after he was caught in an FBI sting operation while trying to solicit a threesome from an undercover officer whom he through was the mother of a 7-year-old girl he wanted to have sex with.normally, I wouldn't give a damn about a cop soliciting a prostitute because prostitution should be legal, but a 7 year old girl??????
* A New York NY Sanitation Police officer’s attempt to withdraw his guilty plea failed and a judge sentenced him to 8 years in prison for molesting two teenage girls who were taking part in a US Navy camp for teens where the officer was working as a trainer… and yes, for whatever reason the state decided that NYC’s sanitation cops deserved the same police powers all other cops have, so it qualifies for our statistics.sanitation cops have police powers?????
* A Woonsocket Rhode Island police officer has agreed to plead guilty to a deprivation of rights charge for unnecessarily punching a cuffed 16-year-old boy while he was in custody. That boy appeared before a judge after the beating, prompting the judge to demand an investigation into why the kid appeared in his court with so many obvious injuries.a fellow Woonsocket police officer described the teen as "mouthy" and "disrespectful, so that naturally warrants a beatdown......
* A Harris County Texas deputy constable is under investigation on allegations that he left the scene of a deadly accident involving a car that he had been chasing. A witness claims that he saw the officer turn off his emergency lights, slow down, and then leave the scene after the accident that occurred during the chase and which left a teenage passenger dead.dashcam video shows the constables car driving by the wreck as well as the engine block that was out in the street, but his fellow officers believe him when he says that he didn't see those at that rate of speed. aren't police officers trained professionals to notice things like that? isn't that why their testimony is believed over other witnesses in court for things like speeding?
* A New York NY police officer has been sentenced to 15 years in prison on conspiracy to distribute narcotics, bank fraud, and obstruction of justice charges for his sordid participation in a crack cocaine distribution ring.
* A Lynchburg Virginia deputy was sentenced to pay a $1,000 fine and received no jail time for what was originally a felony hit & run charge. The charge came about after he struck a college student while driving off-duty around midnight, fled the scene, and was then discovered later when police said they smelled alcohol on his breath.the commonwealth attorney said she thought the sentence was appropriate given that the victim did not want Meacham to serve any jail time. possible intimidation by other officers maybe?
* A Mount Pleasant Texas police K9 officer who works as part of a drug interdiction task force was arrested by local and federal ICE agents on unspecified charges in a sealed indictment.
* A Phoenix Arizona police officer has resigned after he was arrested on allegations that he was robbing drug couriers while on duty. The charges were filed as a result of an investigation into the allegations while included a sting operation that apparently caught him in the act.
* An Aurora Indiana police officer has resigned after being arrested on misdemeanor domestic battery charges the day before. No other information was released about this one.
* A Liberty County Texas deputy was fired on allegations that he misused police databases and sent confidential information about his estranged wife, her friends, and former acquaintances to a local paper in an effort to malign her in the press. The paper contacted the authorities instead of publishing the info.
* And finally, a Coventry Rhode Island police officer was arrested on disorderly conduct charges in a strange case where he went to the home of two women who had apparently flirted with him while he was working traffic detail. But, apparently he ended up being more than they bargained for and did something that prompted them to ask him to leave and to call the cops on him… though what that was hasn’t been released but officials say it was “indecent behavior”.just another day in Supreme Court Justice Scalias alternate universe of police professionalism
