If polls had shown Biden winning before he dropped out and then Harris’ numbers collapsed, there might be more to the sexism claim. But that was not the case. Many Democrats wanted Biden to step aside even before the debate because the polls showed he could not win.

I get that to partisans it feels better to say Harris lost because of sexism and racism. That way you can blame the moral failings of others. And in an echo chamber, that story gets repeated while everyone nods along.

It is also why Maher is falling out of favor with so many on the left. He is still a liberal who votes for Democrats, but he is no longer in the echo chamber. He calls out the excesses on the left that helped turn off enough voters that not only did Trump win, but Republicans kept Congress. People do not want to hear that. It is easier to say the other side is racist, sexist, or evil.

Do you still think that? Do you ever learn? More job seekers than jobs now. Companies are laying off exactly as predicted by Trump's stupidity in economics. That kind economy is what Biden turned over to Daffy. Donald is doing his thing, looting and lying.

There are plenty of blacks who are sexist, who want Mexicans deported, who don't like gays and transsexuals, who don't like paying taxes, and who are xenophobic.

I am not going to defend Trump’s tariffs or trade policies. I don’t agree with them and they’re hurting the economy.

But you must think people have really short memories trying to spin the economy as positive at the start of the year. Inflation was still high, unemployment had risen from 3.5% to 4.0%, and job growth slowed from over 200k a month to closer to 70k after revisions. Voters also made their feelings clear about the state of the economy.

Sure; black, white, Latino, Asian, Indian, bi-racial, LBGTQ+, etc. every community has people with differing viewpoints. What you didn’t address is that Biden was already losing at the time he dropped out. If he had been winning and then there was a big switch away from Harris, you’d have a point. That didn’t happen.

"My man Trump"? That may play well in the echo chamber, but it’s just avoiding the point above.

I think the Republicans have so successfully ruined the public educational systems of these United States, that we are living in an idiocracy where only the upper class have a world class education. They want the rest of the nation to be factory workers and field hands. This is backwards thinking on their part, IMO, but that's the trend.

Same goes for heated rhetoric so intense that our leaders seek the death of Americans. Even if only in political code. Kill the homeless? Really?

Do you think black people should even be allowed to vote" Or should their votes just be automatically added to the democrat in whatever race is in question? As property of the party - the votes of black people belong to the party without question.

This board is entertainment, and I get there’s a cathartic element to posting “Trump sucks” over and over and having others agree.

We all know nothing here is going to change the real world. This isn’t a think tank or a place that influences how the country thinks.

That said, what about discussing what Democrats could do differently or better? Among the board’s liberals that almost never happens. I know the dynamics here, but isn’t that still a discussion worth having?
