Can you not read? I never said he did, I said he believed it was protected by the First Amendment.
Now the Trump Administration wants to prosecute people for it, if they use it in relation to Charlie Kirk.

Who would want a medical doctor who took the Hippocratic Oath that openly cheered the death of Kirk, to be their physician? Not a good look on the hospital that employed him.

Hate speech for the Left is anything you say they disagree with.
Because Kirk was a racist and a hater. But cheering was a bad move. I take no pleasure when haters get killed. I wish they could live long enough to see the errors of their philosophies. I want them to become better people.

I knew very little about him before he was killed.
It is for those in positions of authority like teachers. And a medical doctor whose profession it is to heal and/or save lives, it’s absolutely disgraceful.
I’m not so sure he was a hater. I actually read by even columnists in far left media like Salon, that his style of polite debate is what is needed.
This is only anecdotal but from my observations the older folks get, the more conservative they become.
I am not saying he used any hate speech. He simply felt that it was not something the government should manage or make illegal, in the wake of his death, Bondi is not honoring the philosophy he espoused.

For the record i am saying (and providing video) of him using hate speech. So while i agree with your second point entirely and Bondi and Trump and Vance all calling for this speech to be severely punished is not something i think Kirk would ever approve.
But also for the record he was an extremely hate filled person who weaponized the language of hate and celebrated violence that would be directed at others.
Cancel culture includes digging up things from the past to cancel them now over
This is more about accountability culture - making you accountable now for what you do now

And he was also perfectly ok with innocent people getting shot and dying, including kids, because he believed that was a justified cost to keep weapons laws very open and ensure even mentally ill people and criminals could easily get guns.
So i am certain he would be ok with him dying 'for the cause' and anyone who does not think so is saying he is truly a reprehensible person who thought it ok for 'others' to die but not himself.
