U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, in remarks made at a time when Donald Trump is seeking to exert expansive executive powers, emphasized the need for Americans to know the difference between a president and a king as she spoke on Tuesday about how to improve civics education.

"Do we understand what the difference is between a king and a president?" Sotomayor asked.

But her comments echoed a warning she issued in a dissent last year from the court's landmark ruling in favor of Trump that declared for the first time that presidents are immune from prosecution for official acts while in office.

"The relationship between the president and the people he serves has shifted irrevocably. In every use of official power, the president is now a king above the law," Sotomayor wrote in her dissent.

It is about time somebody said something. Maybe the SCOTUS will start doing something about how Trump has been ruling by Presidential ( king ) orders and reel him in.
The USA is not a Kingdom / dictatorship.
