"Far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists," an archived version of the study reads. (Duh?)

  • A study on the growing frequency of “far-right attacks” was removed from the Department of Justice’s website
  • The removal happened after right-wing political commentator Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on a college campus in Utah
  • An archived version of the study is still available online, and states that “far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides” than the left
The U.S. Department of Justice appears to have quietly removed information online regarding right-wing violence following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

As of Friday, Sept. 12, a 2024 study titled “What NIJ Research Tells Us About Domestic Terrorism” no longer appears on the DOJ website under President Donald Trump's administration. However, it is still viewable as an archived post on Wayback Machine.

It doesn't fit the narrative they are pushing right now so it had to go.

Here's an archive link to it.

All MAGAts are liars. Those MAGAts who swore an oath to the Constitution, which is everyone in government, are traitors.

I guess you missed the BLM riots that killed over 2 dozen and injured thousands of cops and did billions of property damage. Just sayin.

Fuck you asshole. You supported the assassination of your president so, fuck you!

I've seen quite a few on the right say in the past week "you don't see any riots" after what happened last week.

Well, okay - but we did after the right thought an election was stolen. And it was at our Capitol. And they beat cops. And then they had moments of silence for people who rioted at Trump rallies. And then a President pardoned EVERYONE who rioted and beat cops.

There is no high road on this issue.

I find the conservative focus on this to be completely lacking in self-awareness.
sure.

the partisan democrats produced a partisan study. and the partisan repubs removed it

big frigging deal

I find it weird how you went from trying to be reasonable to being this again so quickly

Kirk's death changed my life. But that doesn't mean I've lost my objectivity, or gone MAGA.

The right saying it's 'all on one side' is either delusional, or another case of Mandela Effect.

MAGAt are murderous traitors who want to overthrow our Republic and install a white nationalist autocracy run by oligarchs. Kinda like Trump's hero Putin has.

they merely removed something produced by democrats saying the right is the more guilty party

Small minorities on both sides - but they're loud and out there making news. So everyone thinks it's all of MAGA, or the whole left.

I think one of the most dangerous things I've seen last week is describing the shooter as "they." We've gotta stop generalizing.

All it took was one nutjob to shoot at Trump and one to murder Charlie. One. Trump believes he can incite thousands to murderous behavior since he successfully did it before on 1/6.

My post wasn't really in reference to the study. Just the narrative that I've seen the right try to create over the past week - mainly here, on podcasts & Fox - that the left is the "violent" side.

this thread is to make a false point about how one side is more violent, but you came in criticizing the very side being wrongly attacked?
