Jimmy Kimmel's Political Hackery : He isn't just a comedian

Wait a minute, so now the government gets to decide what the media can say and can’t say?

And forget playing the martyr role, the right wing media has been out there for decades, often spreading complete falsehoods under the disguise of “ entertainment”
The FCC gets to determine what is in the “public interest.”

Lying about the political leanings of the murderer is not in the public interest, Anchovies.

I now have poor old Lurch at the level of Loonie Moonie and Dumber 76.

Not worthy of even a glance anymore…just scroll on by.

I hear you.

A....Hey Lurch, what do you think about the war in Ukraine ?

Lurch......Chicken fajita's!

. That's what its like,....he's gone deep end.

I think the last time I watched Fox News was when Tucker Carlson was still a part of that network. I'm certainly not always a fan of his work, but I thought he was alright when he talked about Russia, Covid and vaccines.
You "thought he was alright when he talked about Russia"?

Definitely. Tucker Carlson's interview with Putin in February 2024 was perhaps his best moment on that front. I'm not saying that Carlson is the most intellectual journalist out there, but he's certainly quite popular and just going to Russia to interview Putin brought a lot of attention to the true causes of the conflict in Ukraine as well as other matters as expressed by Russia's President, which in turn reflects a lot of Russia's views in general. I think that Cynthia Chung, who -does- have a lot of intellectual acumin, did an excellent analysis of said interview. It can be seen here:

What Tucker did do recently was bash the trump administration for their quest to cancel "hate speech". Why? Because hate speech and lying about the opposition is how Tucker makes his living.
We have very different views regarding Carlson. I may not watch him that much, but I definitely respect his penchant for defending free speech, even if I have some doubts as to at least some of his conclusions if more free speech is censored. He's on the right, yet he's currently going -against- Trump's Republican party due to its stance. That's what I'd call dedication to the cause of free speech. An article on Tucker's stance here for anyone who hasn't read about it yet:

You think Putin told Tucker "the truth"? The Ukraine offensive is not a "war" it was a Russia invasion followed by the kidnapping and rape of Ukrainian men, women and children. You are delusional if you think Putin "told the truth" in the first place.

Carlson is a hate-merchant and propagandist. He argues intellectually dishonestly and is a coward.

But they do not get to make that decision, nor enact that decision, with the end of censoring speech, that is unconstitutional, though you MAGA said you knew what is in the Constitution

Show us where in Kimmel’s line did he “lie:”

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it, In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”

Go ahead, point out the lie

Sometimes. I think his takes on immigration are great, and he's done some good take downs of Trump and nasty corporations. I'm not a fan of his take on vaccines, but then, everyone has flaws.
Yes, I get from the couple of your last post that you are an anti-vaxxer. Sorry to see that - for me - I get my medical advice from my doctor, not from heroin attacks appointed by trump.

Yes, I am an anti-vaxxer in the true sense of the term- I think that all vaccines provide no benefits and only do harm. As to your "heroin attacks" statement, I imagine you meant to say "heroin addicts" and that it was a reference to RFK Jr's former addiction issues. As I imagine you know, RFK Jr.'s father was assassinated shortly after his uncle JFK was assassinated. From what I've read, it looks like it was the same cabal that did it. Regardless, having one's uncle and father assassinated in quick succession is bound to cause trauma and I suspect that RFK Jr.'s addiction issues may have had at least part of their genesis from that.

Since then, RFK Jr. has done many great things, including a great book revealing the corruption that had taken over a large part of government in relation to the pharmaceutical industry. It can be seen here if you're interested:

I'd also like to point out that RFK Jr. has never said he is an anti vaxxer himself.

Anyway, America is in DEEP trouble with RFJ Jr. and the other moonbats he's recruited for the vax committee.
