Since you've accepted homosexuality as normal, how long before you become an apologist for pedophiles? Proportionately queers are much more likely to be pedophiles.

Homosexuality has jumped out of the closet and into social acceptance. Today, sodomite behavior even enjoys legal protection and political preference. If you had told our grandparents thirty-five years ago that this would be the case, they would have laughed you out of the room.

Thirty-five years ago, the only people who were trumpeting the normalization of homosexuality were left-wing college professors. Few people took them seriously. That was a fatal mistake. We should have remembered Lincoln’s sage instruction:

"The philosophy of the classroom in one generation is the philosophy of the country in the next."

Who can deny that those liberal college professors in the 1960’s changed the direction of the entire nation? It behooves us, therefore, to give serious consideration to what liberal college and university professors are now promoting.

I'm told that in an article in the May/June issue of Society magazine entitled, "Sexual Liberation’s Last Frontier," Associate Professor of Sociology at Temple University, Julia Erickson calls for more tolerance and understanding for pedophiles. Yes, pedophiles. Erickson argues that the word pedophilia is too harsh and judgmental. She prefers using "child-adult sex." She questions research that shows long-term effects of such activity.

Erickson compares the plight of pedophiles to homosexuals in years gone by. She believes punishments inflicted upon pedophiles are too severe and suggests they need social acceptance, even legal protection, instead. You and I are making a serious miscalculation if we disregard people like Erickson as the lunatic fringe of society. We made that mistake thirty-five years ago, and look what has happened.

America has legally and culturally abandoned its Judeo/Christian roots. We have expunged traditional morality from the public square, and from the public conscience. Aberrant sexual misconduct of every kind has taken its place. Adultery, fornication, cohabitation and sodomy are socially acceptable, even politically protected. America currently has no moral compass.

Next on the list to achieve politically correct categorization is pedophilia. Understand that pedophilia is exactly where homosexuality was thirty-five years ago: in the classrooms of liberal college professors. If America doesn’t make a sudden and dramatic turn toward traditional [how about Biblical? - JZ] morality, pedophilia will enjoy the same kind of social and political acceptance that homosexuality now enjoys, and it won’t take thirty-five years to happen, either.

I accept them because they are consenting adults. There is no comparison to pedophilia, which victimizes children.

According to documented (and peer reviewed) research, even the pedophiles that molest same sex children are not gay, in the normal sense of the term.

They want children. As often as not, gender is not as important as age. The fact that little girls are more closely watched is a a bigger factor in gender selection.
 
Yes I understand that is the new lie that queer enablers readily accept, that men who molest boys aren't really queer. Now that you've accepted that it can't be long before you accept their actions.

Your argument could be used to rail against hetrosexual relationships also.
All that would have to be done is show how men who have sexual relationships with women, want younger women to have sex with and that this will lead to child marriages.

By your logic, since my acceptance of gays will lead to my acceptance of pedophilia, doesn't that mean your acceptance of straights will lead to your accepting pedophiles too? As long as they target the opposite gender in children?

No, the "slippery slope" argument is bullshit. The key point is consenting adults. The fact that you choose to ignore the facts does not change them.

There is probably a greater age variance between heterosexual couples than homosexual couples.

There is no lie involved. What you apparently can't understand is that accepting gays has nothing whatsoever to do with accepting pedophilia.

The only "piss-poor" logic on this thread is your claim that accepting homosexuality will lead to acceptance of pedophilia.


In the past, sodomy was a crime. We stopped prosecuting it, then changed the laws so it isn't a crime. By the same logic you are using, this should mean the future acceptance of rape. But that isn't happening.


Pedophilia hurts a child. There is a clear victim.

Homosexuality hurts no one. There is no victim.

Your attempt at a corrolation is nonsense.

I have no problem with the second and third sentences, but normal is not relative. You can't apply relativism to an argument, even if you are on the correct side.

The idea of "normal" is relative to the group you belong in.

In the USA its "normal" to own at least one car. In many other countries it is not.

In Japan it is normal to have black hair. In Sweden its not.

For me its normal to desire and be attracted to women. For a gay man it is not normal. It is not a decision he made.
