The Master of Ceremonies led the crowd in chanting “fuck you Rory”.
Many spectators had to be escorted out by the state police for heckling.
I hope Europe wins all their singles matches today.
And I’ll bet the crowd caused the American players to be embarrassed for their fans. In fact Justin Thomas was yelling at them to STFU during his match.

What is wrong with New Yorkers?
This is golf, FFS.
Maybe @Ross Dolan can explain.

Oh, and I’d ban the NewYork area from future USGA championships in the foreseeable future.

What happened is disgusting. The "fans" ought to be ashamed of themselves...although I doubt that bunch of reprobates has enough ethical ability to be ashamed.

I am embarrassed for an activity that I love...and considered above that kind of thing.

lol just New Yorkers showing all that class and sophistication they keep telling everybody they allegedly have and the hicks in fly over country lack.

I always thought that course was in England for some reason, I guess because of the name. I don't follow golf, it;s boring.

I have to give credit to Frank. Like a normal person, he agrees that behavior is bad, at best. Archives seem to think it’s normal behavior all over the country.
Apparently he’s never been outside NY city.

lol many New Yorkers are bigger hicks than any living in Appalachia. I have friends who live there in Brooklyn and more travelled friends living in MAmeraoneck, and it's like night and day. The Brooklynites have rarely even been out of Brooklyn, they went to Jersey a couple of times lol, and they think anything between Manhattan and San Francisco is tumbleweed strewn wasteland and roving bandit gangs. Ironically that is what a lot of Asians in the Bay area also believe. lol it's hilarious. They've never been to a single museum, play, or library there their entire lives, either, which is even more hilarious.

lol It’s like that in a lot of places. I grew up in N.O. and there are those you can’t pry out of there with high pressure hydraulics.
“Vacation“ is a one hour drive to the Mississippi gulf coast.

Anything past that and they’re like fish out of water. Baton Rouge may as well be in Mongolia for them.
