This administration is beyond incompetent...we are in the midst of a fuckin' disaster and they are using the Coast Guard to stop barges from cleaning up the oil because the barges may not have life vests and fire extinguishers....are you freakin' kiddin' me ?

"The Coast Guard came and shut them down," Jindal said. "You got men on the barges in the oil, and they have been told by the Coast Guard, 'Cease and desist. Stop sucking up that oil.'"
But the Coast Guard ordered the stoppage because of reasons that Jindal found frustrating. The Coast Guard needed to confirm that there were fire extinguishers and life vests on board, and then it had trouble contacting the people who built the barges.

well depends how you look at... either compleatly stupid or calculated.
 
but to say jimmy carter is looking better.. i dissagree.. na just obama just looking worse and worse everyday.... jimmy will never look good, just not as bad.

i dont see it as the same.

some things and people just wont look good, even if somthing worse comes along its not going to make it look good. the only way jimmy would look good is of our expectations are lowered. Mine are not.

ABC news reported the event, they DID NOT make a comment one way or the other about it or Obama....

Now...if Bush was calling the shots, they would have made a commentary about how stupid it is to stop the oil cleanup over some petty issue such like life vests on these barges....

Its not that getting off oil is a laughable idea. I expect that most sentient people believe technological progress beyond oil is inevitable. Its that liberals such as Carter seem to believe that all we have to do is fight oil, and magically alternative energies will fall out of the sky like rain. They want to shoot us in the foot, rather than contribute meaningfully to the energy crisis.
