He is arguing that even if some banks report them for the loans but do not fund them the law can do nothing to charge and close those shops because no bank lost any money.

This is a crime guys who work in used car dealership finance offices get charged with all the time and yet Hawkeye, in his stupidity says it is not a crime. That you cannot have a documents without a bank suffering a loss.

The entire purpose of the law is to try and prevent things like the 2008 crash happening due to wrongly priced fraudulent credit being in the system and performing to a point, until it crashes and because it was not priced properly for the risk, it puts the bank at risk.

And if the early reporting holds true Bolton did far less then Trump.

Unlike Trump, the reporting so far said Bolton has every right to keep and maintain this material. it did not have to be returned. But all such material is governed by a law that says 'you must protect from disclosure to the public and even accidental disclosure is a crime'. That seems to be what they are trying to nail Bolton with. That his email being hacked or intercepted is the type of 'accidental disclosure that is a crime'. We will see if there is more to it than that but so far that seems to be it.
