This one may actually be something and Bolton may be at risk based on the early reporting.
The reporting says this was something the Biden DoJ caught wind of, when Boltons hacked AOL email message (or intercepted?) was exposed to them by a foreign gov't who received it, or something like that.
Now as i understand it, it is not that Bolton has material he is not supposed to have, as Trump did, but that he may have broke a law that says 'if you hold classified or even lower secret material legally you MUST protect it and even accidental loss of control of it is against the law'.
Biden's DOJ decided not to do anything with it and cited they would not want to expose the material he had anyway, in a charge, but Trumps DoJ has proceeded on it.
This law does not require intent and only requires the 'loss of control, accidental or not' and the material is said to be 'secret' but not classified.

well he is prosecuting Letisha James for misrepresentations on loan docs over something like $8000 of claimed lost interest to the bank when he and his magat derps screamed 'No Victim, no Crime' when he was shown to have defrauded the banks of millions for his misrepresentations on loan doc's and his magats, like @T. A. Gardner do back flips trying to justify it. So you can say irony is lost on them.

The question is how much of the republican old guard will they allow Trump to eat before they do an even more serious split with him. John McCain, Reagan, and so many more, and now Bolton. These guys all have friends in high places with some power left. see if they really try to use it.
