We now have solid proof that after Trump and Project 2025, the future of the GOP is Nazism

I do worry that as we become an older society, more and more of our votes are going to older people who do not want change.

But the solution is not to kill a bunch of kids, like Kennedy wants.

The challenge i see and that i think people like Kennedy see and fear is that because modern medicine is so good at keeping people at ever advanced years, ever advancing obesity levels and with layers and layers of sickness and disease, we creating a big percent of the population who are completely dependent on medicines and who look to medicine FIRST whenever something ails them, but are also living with growing group of co-morbidities.

And while extending those people lives is ok, you have another group who threw a mix of good luck, being very disciplined in food and exercise, and other disciplines who do everything they can to avoid needing or taking medicine. It is a literal last step for them after trying everything else.

What covid taught us is that the latter group, in the face of increased pandemic type threats, even when they themselves are not at threat will be asked or demanded to take any medicines necessary to protect the ever increasing cohort of vulnerable people.

Many people, especially those who embrace medicine more will simply say 'they should shut up and take it for the good of everyone else', but there is a manifest unfairness in that to them. Not as bad as letting the vulnerable die, but that does not undue that making people take medicines they do not need, that comes with risk of creating its own co-morbidities or other issues is not exactly fair.

We now have solid proof that the future of the GOP after Trump is unabated Nazism

I get asked a lot about what comes after Donald Trump. Will the Republican Party go back to its conservative roots? Will it continue on a path of absurdity? Will things get better or worse for Republicans? I always replied with TBD.

These same questions have been raised for years, ever since Trump won in 2016 and took a wrecking ball to the Mitt Romney, George H.W. Bush, and Lamar Alexander moderate conservatism. They look like Democrats today.

Pundits and politicians continue to debate the future of the GOP after Trump, all with different takes, including some who echo my TBD. Well, TBD no more: After a shocking Politico report on Tuesday, we now know the answer.

The future of the Republican Party is unabated Nazism.

The answer is no longer a hypothetical. The next generation of GOP leaders have made it crystal clear what’s ahead, and it is terrifying. Leaked Telegram texts among Young Republican leaders reveal a culture steeped in anti-Semitism, racism, misogyny, and violent fantasies.

It is language so extreme it defies belief. It’s also ruinous, and given how far the U.S. has fallen so far under the reign of Trump, Nazism as a Republican platform is not out of the question.

According to Politico, Peter Giunta, then chair of the New York State Young Republicans, wrote that anyone who voted against him would be sent to a “gas chamber” and boasted of creating “the greatest physiological torture methods known to man.” As Politico explained, he was "referring to an upcoming vote on whether he should become chair of the Young Republican National Federation, the GOP’s 15,000-member political organization for Republicans between 18 and 40 years old."

An interesting point.

This thread is another great case study in group think. There is plenty to criticize about what is going on right now, I’m not questioning that.

But this is the echo chamber rhetoric claiming we’re living in 1930s Berlin, we’re on the same path and America is about to or should fall.

Every thread with MAGAts in it is an example of "group think". Predicting what a MAGAt believes is easy: just read Trump's Truth Social rants. It'll be regurgitated verbatim by all JPP MAGAts. Easy peasy.

An interesting point.

It is a reality and challenge we should not deny because this is going to be a point of growing mass contention.

It is not hyperbole as we watch medical science, along with a growing percent of people who simply choose to not care about exercise or diet (their right) and who rely more and more on medicines to fix what ails them when the Dr is telling them losing weight and exercise could do more, also then not understanding why other people (healthy, fit, avoid medicines as much as possible) resist just taking medicines, when they are available.

I think what was satirized in the movie Wally is an ever growing reality as personal mobility devices get better and better and our societies obesity epidemic gets worse and worse, and medicines allow the aged to live longer and longer while taking ever increasing medications, all while the obese and aged pile up co-morbidities.

Again i am not saying there is anything wrong with the obese and aged living longer due to ever increased medication but i am saying this will pose an increasing challenge for those in society who have deliberately chosen the fitness path, medicine as a last resort path, and will be increasingly told 'you are not at risk but MUST take these medicines to protect those at increased risk'.

I think this conflict is obvious and should be taken seriously and addressed before the next covid type emergency. But i doubt it will.

^ re the above I think the new line of 'Diet Medicines' like Ozempic are a nightmare as they are not really diet medicines and the weight loss is just a side effect of its actual purpose.

What is happening now is that because of the growing obesity epidemic, and more and more people opting not to do what prior generations had to do to stay in shape (diet, exercise) and instead being able to increase their bad habits, while still losing weight, will see a real challenge as people are forced to come off those medications, for varied reasons.

The first group to really suffer will be pregnant women. Pregnancy has always been a nightmare for most women who wanted to stay in shape or get back in shape after due to the stressed it causes the body. If the only reason you were not obese was because you relied on these medicines and then during pregnancy you are forced to come off this will be a double or triple impact issue with regards to weight gain. You formed none of the prior needed disciplines, (have terrible diet and no exercise) while coming off the medicine but also suffer the normal pregnancy stresses that lead to weight gain.

I foresee massive problems down the road with this.
