seems that the judge thought that the financial loss to the region is more important than potential blowouts

per cnn breaking news today at noon

seems to me like he used reason instead of buying into the far left econazi agenda. PS how much gas does your smug mobile use?

Well, its a matter of whether the companies have the right to keep drilling, or Obama the power to halt them. According to this judge, it appears he was infringing upon their rights. If these companies are smart with PR, they should stop on their own, though...

Bullshit, there should be a moratorium on BP. 1,000 deepwells with no issues, BP criminally negligence is what should be looked at.

given mss's lack of oversight on the companies doing the drilling and their inept plans for blowouts. i think bho was correct except that there should be a review of all of the deep water sites regarding their ability to prevent blowouts and deal with the mess of a blowout

me too, but don't stop drilling while your studying.

wrong - if there is not good plan or no oversight and the blowout preventers and other related safety equipment are in question - yes stop drilling until said matters have been resolved

the drilling companies have themselves to blame because they gamed the system and now must pay for it

so start the inspections and require the companies to provide new comprehensive plans

also, get the gopbs (gop/bp) in congress to get over their asses and require more than a 75 million amount to pay for people and businesses damaged by a blowout

The Federal Government does not have the "right" to destroy a state's economic base. 1 in 5 jobs in Louisiana is related to the oil industry, and Obama's moratorium threatens to completely eliminate those jobs and the livelihood of those people. He doesn't have that authority under the Constitution... SORRY!

They should speed up that process a bit. All those Nobel Laureates sitting around a table and they can't figure something out for over six months? Come on...

you don't have the first clue about the safety measures BP just skipped. You knee jerk reaction like most libtards is not unexpected though. Shit you pay extra to drive a smug mobile.

commerce clause, letting the feds regulate anything they want. so, while technically unconstitutional, reality lets them do it.

Maybe you think the arrogant asshole in Washington is a King or something....
we know the asshole thinks he can just give any order and like magic, the subjects obey....

a committee is three or more stomachs and no brain

get mss or whatever they are going to call the new agency off of their behinds and get the drilling companies to provide new plans so they can resume drilling
