The Last Budget

Republicans have had control of both chambers of Congress for 20 out of 28 years since then.
Republicans are the only ones trying to pass budget legislation. Democrats are the ones preventing it. It's easier for them to bury their largess in massive CRs. Be less dishonest and stupid looking.

Republicans control all three branches of the legislature and executive.

You could pass a bill tomorrow.

You could easily eliminate the 60 vote threshold in the Senate as long as you are willing to give up the power to play games with your own shutdowns whenever a Democrat is president.

ROFL

Lie much?

14 isn't 20 - nor even a a majority.

Also note that the 1997 Congress was Republicans - democrats had control of all branches under Obama - AND a super majority - yet still refused to pass an actual budget.

Stop lying

END THE SCHUMER SHUTDOWN

Release the hostages

Well, if you weren't such an uneducated, brainless partisan hack leftist moron, you would realize that budgets require a 60 vote majority in the Senate and a 2/3rds majority in the House.

I would say "be smarter", but that would require at least half a brain. :palm:

You could pass a bill tomorrow.

They have passed a bill 13 times and all 13 times Democrats rejected it. You don't get out much do you?

It takes a 2/3rds majority in the House and 60 votes in the Senate halfwit.

You could easily eliminate the 60 vote threshold in the Senate as long as you are willing to give up the power to play games with your own shutdowns whenever a Democrat is president.

That is indeed an option. It is the very option Democrats wanted to pass but realized that it would bite them back in the ass.

I would say "be smarter", but that would require at least half a brain. :palm:

You're going to confuse lying lefties like Cypress with the facts again. You know how leftist halfwits hate those inconvenient facts.

Just did it in my head, it's possible I might be slightly off. But the bottom line is Republicans really suck at governance.
You make up everything. You're a serial liar. You voted for Kamala, that's the definition of Dumb.

Try this on for size, TD:

  • Under Carter: 7 CRs (fiscal years 1978–1981).
  • Under Clinton: 57 CRs (fiscal years 1994–2001, including 13 for FY1996 amid shutdown disputes).
  • Under Obama: 36 CRs (fiscal years 2009–2017, including 4 for FY2011 and full-year CRs for FY2011 and FY2013).
  • Under Biden: 13 CRs (fiscal years 2021–2025, primarily short-term extensions to avert shutdowns).
This yields a total of 113 CRs during Democrat presidencies. These figures align with CRS reports tracking enacted measures from FY1977–FY2025, which document 134 interim CRs overall in that period (plus 4 full-year CRs), with Democrat administrations accounting for roughly 85% of fiscal years and a proportional share of enactments.

Republicans control all three branches of the legislature and executive.

The legislature is only two branches. And the Americans only have 53 in the Senate - the rest are democrats. One American - Rand Paul, voted against the CR. Three brave democrats defied Hamas and voted to end the Schumer Shutdown, It takes 5 more democrats to release the hostages - the American people that you of Hamas hold hostage.

You could pass a bill tomorrow.

You're blatantly lying, of course, It takes a super majority of 60 to release the hostages you hold.
You could easily eliminate the 60 vote threshold in the Senate as long as you are willing to give up the power to play games with your own shutdowns whenever a Democrat is president.

False. The Republicans MIGHT be able to override and violate Senate rules with "the nuclear option." But Susan Collins, Rand Paul, and Lisa Murkowski have all stated they would vote against it - so it would fail.

Nope - to release the hostages you hold will require 5 more democrats to put America ahead of illegal aliens and NPR. But that's a problem, because democrats HATE America.

The Nuclear Option in fact isn't an option. The Republicans don't have the votes for it, and McConnell opposes it.

The Schumer Shutdown will end when 5 more democrats put America before their own power and greed - not before.

The legislature is only two branches.
I said three branches between legislative and executive. It takes all three to pass and sign legislation into law.

Trump himself said in 2015 that presidents are at fault for shutdowns.

That's your party's fault, not mine.

"Senate rules". LOL . There is nothing in the constitution about this 60 vote threshold, and if you pull the nuclear trigger just be prepared to give up your little shutdown games when a Democrat is president.

Your party controls House, Senate, Presidency.
If Collins and Murkowski won't vote for the nuclear option, that's s problem within your own party. It has nothing to do with my party.

No, you said "Republicans control all three branches of the legislature"

Your ignorance of how our Republic is structured is the minor issue here - the lies you tell are more serious.

It takes all three to pass and sign legislation into law.

Passing legislation is purely up to the legislature. The President can veto - but that is his only involvement. You can't pass the buck on the Schumer Shutdown.

Trump himself said in 2015 that presidents are at fault for shutdowns.

That's your party's fault, not mine.

You lying is my party's fault? The same way that you taking hostages to extort $1.5 trillion for illegals is?

"Senate rules". LOL . There is nothing in the constitution about this 60 vote threshold, and if you pull the nuclear trigger just be prepared to give up your little shutdown games when a Democrat is president.

Again, you have no clue how our government works. Schumer has already used the nuclear option in the past. This has zero impact on the shit that scumbag will pull. IF he is even returned to the Senate.

Your party controls House, Senate, Presidency.
If Collins and Murkowski won't vote for the nuclear option, that's s problem within your own party. It has nothing to do with my party.

Yor party holds millions of Americans hostage to extort $1.5 trillion from American taxpayers on behalf of the illegal aliens you prefer over Americans.

Stop lying
