You do realize that's exactly what DEI programs are designed to prevent, right? When you are making hiring decisions on the basis of racism, sexism, exclusivity, or other non-work-related measures you are weakening and ultimately potentially destroying your company. DEI is ALL BAD. There is no upside to it.

DEI training and its dangerous, counterproductive impacts
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives typically purport goals of combating bias and promoting inclusivity, but an experiment on the topic has found that its pedagogy produces hostile attribution bias. The study, presented by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) and the...www.americanexperiment.org

but it does the opposite. You do realize that's exactly what DEI programs are designed to prevent, right?
The reality is, that's exactly what they do. They increase racism, sexism, etc., while lowering standards and accepting mediocrity in the name of DEI.You do realize that's exactly what DEI programs are designed to prevent, right?
You haven't provided any evidence of such thing. The reality is, that's exactly what they do. They increase racism, sexism, etc., while lowering standards and accepting mediocrity in the name of DEI.
I already did provide proof. You are just ignoring it.You haven't provided any evidence of such thing.
Are you talking about your anecdotes?I already did provide proof. You are just ignoring it.
No, I'm talking about examples. You asked I use "pilots" as the example. I did. American Airlines has a QUOTA for pilot training of 50% minorities and females. Either they accept potential shortages, or they lower standards to meet that unless there is a pool large enough of potential candidates that they can pick and choose from. In any case, it is a QUOTA system, and they are not taking the best applicants regardless of race or gender. Are you talking about your anecdotes?
Ok. Let's say you're correct. Are there any complaints about their abilities/talents? Any disasters? No, I'm talking about examples. You asked I use "pilots" as the example. I did. That's one of several examples I gave.
I could start with a comparison of airline safety records.Ok. Let's say you're correct. Are there any complaints about their abilities/talents? Any disasters?
Nice site.I could start with a comparison of airline safety records.

Agreed. At least not in my industry. Everyone is qualified. What's also true is that, in an effort to diversify, a slightly less technically qualified applicant may be hired but they are always qualified. Most professions required certification or a license. The fucking gub'ment, amirite? That is your opinion. DEI does not hire less qualified people.
Nope. It's about inclusivity. It makes sure that well qualified Black people are not being overlooked.
How are quotas fair? And it also makes sure that LGBTQ and other minority group people are treated fairly whether in hiring or while employed. In fact, it has more to do with fair treatment of ALL employees than it does with affirmative action.
That tends to be the case. Happened to me with a lateral promotion I put in for. It was a 'All hands-on deck' emergency with upper management when they recognized they'd opened themselves up to a sure lose lawsuit if I filed one against them. I was offered all sorts of stuff to make it go away and took that route. Basically, for the last years before I retired, all I had to do was show up and got left alone because management didn't want any trouble from me.
Good news! It indicates that regardless of the "zeitgeist", there is a core of decency to Americans that may survive all this current BS.
No, I was massively overqualified, that's what the management panic was about.Makes you sound like your fabled nonqualified, lazy DEI hire. lol
Those are exceptions, not the rule:AI Overview

Many companies, such as Apple, Costco, and JP Morgan, continue to support DEI initiatives despite pressure, often citing the business case for diversity and inclusion.
