Trump isn't responsible for this shutdown. This occurred in Congress, specifically in the Senate. Schumer initially wanted $1.5 trillion in new spending to sign on to a CR. Now he wants about half that to sign onto a CR. The Democrats are totally at fault here for making what amounts to hostage negotiation demands.

Not particularly "escape" where the struggle lies seems to be in the idea that somehow him getting money stopped the SNAP. If one caused the other I'd understand the outrage, but we both know it does not so all it is, is poutrage... You know the cause of the government closure is not this, you just dislike this so intensely you would use it as an "example" of whatever you dislike that is happening.
Him getting money has nothing to do with the Democrats deciding to use poor people as leverage to force "Trump" to do what they want. But you want it to correlate so badly that you are willing to suggest it regardless of reality.
