Every penny that anyone spends on health insurance comes from pre tax dollars. Employers pay lower salary when offering 'free' or low cost insurance to employees.

Further, any compensation that employers offer via health insurance is NOT included in matching FICA contributions. In essence employers pay lower salary, save 8+% on FICA, and write off all policy costs.

There is no health insurance in the nation that is not subsidized.

I embarrassed him finally into stop that denial, and he lies and says now he always knew and said they got some subsidies, so his new spin is some version of they get the 'good and allowable type of subsidies while green energy gets the bad type'.

Why has he done that? Because both AI and Google searches can quickly show, with full citations and data that what he is spewing is wrong.

Stop introducing 'market forces' into the insurance industry. It doesn't work like that. You propose allowing insurance companies to return to cherry picking insured people based on health. You also propose allowing employers to go back to firing people whose claims are causing the group rates to increase. If indeed employer based health insurance remains a thing.

ACA is not a trainwreck. How much does it cost to subsidize 75% of the health insurance costs for every member of Congress for life? What do you plan to do about that?
