Right, so then you don't want equal treatment because true equal treatment would be if we all had the ability to have the relationship we wanted to be legally recognized in the same manner. None of this separate but equal nonsense.

You see, nobody is trying to hijack anything. The religious right is trying to lay claim to a word they don't own.

At one point, "voter" meant a white, male. Equality means women get to vote, not that women get to vote in their own separate but equal election because the men want to lay claim to the word "voter".

The attempt to lay claim to voter or marriage is the supremacy you're projecting onto others.

It's simply not good enough for you that an adult man and another adult man can be legally "joined together" and receive the very same legal treatment that any married couple receives. Explain how having equal recognition is supremacy? Women were given the right to vote in exactly the same manner as men. Was that supremacy by women?
